POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I recently went to an “immersive experience” that turned out to be more of a cinema experience, but it left me inspired. Seeing the number of self-portraits created by Vincent van Gogh and Frida Kahlo was striking. I knew both artists painted themselves often, but I hadn’t realized just how many self-portraits they created throughout their lives.

It reminded me how powerful self-portraits can be, not just as a study of appearance, but as a way to document growth, emotions, experiences, and identity over time. Every self-portrait becomes a snapshot of who we are in a particular moment⭐️

Which elements would you consider for your self portrait?

Sirenas: There’s something captivating about them. To me, they symbolize parts of life we are taught to fear but secretly feel drawn toward like the unexplored, the emotional, the wild, and the untamed 🧜🏻‍♀️🩵 taken in Budapest, Hungary by @silvanapasstel
