No pictures of Bob on phone. There's a whole series of "Bob" sayings I'm going to put on shirts. My Bob thinks it's stupid, some of them are hysterical.

Anyway, the surgery started early. They took him at 9:20. When I talked to him at 9:00 he couldn't breathe, soI think they had to. Not good.

PRAYERS PLEASE!!

At 11:00 Bob is having surgery to fix his breathing, this time permanently. The dilation on September 2nd worked for 8 days, so there is not point to another one.

He has been at Victoria Hospital in London since Sunday. He has a 1.5 mm opening in his airway and is on huge amounts of oxygen to force what little will go through such a tiny opening. He was supposed to have the surgery when he arrived on Sunday, but the doctor in Hanover didn't take him off his blood thinners like he was supposed to so he has had to wait until today.

The doctor is going to see about the possibility of putting in a stent to push the obstruction out of the way permanently, but he is not hopeful. The obstruction is very close to his frozen vocal chord, so the chance of tearing the tissue is huge. It is more likely that he will have to have a tracheostomy, a permanent "hole" in his throat. Once that heals, they will put in an external voice box. Because diabetics take twice as long to heal as the average person, he will be quite a while without being able to talk.

Bob had some swallow test done on Tuesday. He cannot tell when either solids or liquids are going down the wrong way so it has been recommended that he have a feeding tube put in through a port straight into his stomach. Bob has pretty much decided that he wants to do that. The risk of suffocating on something he eats or drinks is too high. I will be going for training on mixing the food, inserting the port, maintaining the port, etc. Bob's Parkinson's has become so bad that he can't even get the food to his mouth without spilling most of it, even with weighted utensils. Dealing with port, mixing food, etc., is definitely out of the question.

The surgery to put in the tracheostomy is about 4 hours long and not without risk. Please, if you can, for that time starting at 11:00 prayers every now and then would be great!!

Bob doesn't look like this anymore, but it is one of my favourites of the three of us.

Does anyone know how to make a post from Facebook show up on Instagram? I've tried to do it through the Meta Business Suite and it's not working.

Allyson told me to post on Instagram because it works in that direction, and it does, but out of force of habit I've done 5 posts in the last 3 days about Bob and, literally, begging for help through the GoFundMe, my trip by ambulance yesterday to the hospital, my horrible letter from the Ministry of Health yesterday telling my deductible for the Trillium Drug Benefit Plan is $2000.03, so there goes my drug coverage and Christian. I can't retype it all.

If you have Facebook, could you please, please read them. My personal page is susan.corbin.9619. In the meantime, if someone knows how to get this stuff on Instagram, I would be forever grateful for your help.

Phone won't let me see pictures more than 6 months old, so I can't post what I want, a picture of Bob, so here's Dozer and Darla instead.

I have been sitting in the parking lot at Victoria Hospital in London while Bob is in surgery to open his trachea, which was basically closed when he arrived by ambulance from Owen Sound Hospital 3 hours ago, expecting a call from the surgeon to say he was gone. That was what we, Christian and I, had been told to expect. We just got a miracle!!!!!!! He just called to say that not only was he going to be fine, they were able to use a balloon to remove the obstruction, so he will be back in Owen Sound Monday morning and home "soon after".

We were at 99%, he wasn't going to make it 2 hours ago, and now he's breathing fine and coming home soon. God truly is awesome!!!

Thank you to everyone who prayed for him. Couldn't have done it without you. I'll keep you posted. Watch for the rockets I send up the day he comes home. You'll be able to see them everywhere.🥳😉😄 taken in Victoria Hospital (London, Ontario) by @silver_lining_fashions

We were at the Orillia Fairgrounds Flea and Farmers Market yesterday. Should be Crafters Market not Flea Market. It's all handmade items by small businesses. On every Saturday 8 to 1. Definitely worth checking out. by @silver_lining_fashions
