Today is one of the harder posts I've had to write.
After a lot of reflection, I've made the decision to step away from powerlifting.
This sport became so much more than lifting weights. It became a part of who I am. It gave me purpose on days when I needed direction, confidence when I doubted myself, and an outlet when life felt overwhelming. Some of my best memories, toughest lessons, and proudest moments happened under a barbell.
There were early mornings when nobody was watching, late nights when I was exhausted, and countless days where I wanted to quit but didn't. Every PR, every missed lift, every competition, every setback helped shape me into the person I am today. Powerlifting taught me that success isn't about never failing—it's about getting back up every time you do.
The truth is, life has changed. Work has grown more demanding, and I can no longer dedicate the time and energy this sport deserves. Continuing to train at a level that doesn't honor the commitment my coach has given me, or the standards I've always held for myself, wouldn't feel right.
What makes this difficult isn't stepping away from the lifts—it's stepping away from a community and a passion that has meant so much to me. The people I've met, the friendships I've built, and the support I've received throughout this journey are things I'll never forget.
To my coach, thank you for believing in me, pushing me when I needed it, and standing beside me through every success and failure. To my training partners and friends, thank you for every spot, every word of encouragement, every celebration, and every lesson. You made this journey special.
I don't know what the future holds, and maybe one day I'll find my way back to the platform. But for now, I'm choosing to close this chapter with gratitude instead of sadness.
Powerlifting gave me more than strength—it gave me confidence, discipline, resilience, and memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
So this isn't goodbye. It's simply thank you.
Thank you for every lesson. Thank you for every challenge. Thank you for every memory.
And thank you for helping me become the person I am today. by @silverback_strength85

End of the year doesn’t just show numbers — it exposes character.
606 squat.
385 bench.
630 deadlift.
Those weren’t just lifts. They were moments under the bar where your mind either caves or hardens. Where doubt gets loud, fear creeps in, and quitting would feel justified. Every PR came from staying present while everything inside wanted out. From learning how to breathe under pressure and move anyway.
This year taught me that real strength isn’t hype — it’s control.
It’s showing up angry, tired, uncertain… and still executing.
It’s choosing violence against weakness without losing discipline.
And next year isn’t about chasing numbers — it’s about becoming someone who can carry them.
700+ squat.
415+ bench.
650+ deadlift.
Those aren’t hopes. They’re standards.
Built on sharper focus, deeper patience, and a mindset that refuses to negotiate when the weight gets heavy.
The bar doesn’t care who you are — it only respects who you’ve trained yourself to be.
Next year, I’m not just lifting heavier.
I’m thinking heavier. 🔥💪 by @silverback_strength85

630 lbs.
No hype. No shortcuts. No mercy.

Built in the dark when motivation was gone and discipline was all that showed up.
Every rep before this hurt—physically and mentally.
Every doubt, every bad day, every voice saying “not enough” got dragged to the bar and buried.

This isn’t luck. This is pain, silence, and years of choosing suffering over comfort.
I didn’t train for applause. I trained to become stronger.

630 lbs off the floor.
PR secured.
Respect the work.
The work continues. 💪

No hype. No mercy.
Just iron, pain, and a year of refusing to break.
Every rep was violence. Every set was earned the hard way—through breathless seconds, torn calluses, and nights nobody saw.
This wasn’t luck. This was twelve months of showing up when motivation was dead and excuses were loud.
The bar didn’t care who I was a year ago. It only respected force and consistency.
Limits were buried. Weakness was starved.
Pain was temporary—discipline wasn’t.
One year later, the weight moves… because I did.
Transformation is built. PRs are taken. by @silverback_strength85

600 pounds.
That’s not just a number — that’s years of showing up when I didn’t feel like it.
Late Nights. Sore joints. Missed reps. Doubt. Pain. Progress. The mental fights of not giving up.

Every plate on that bar represents a lesson, every set a small war I had to win with myself.
This isn’t about strength — it’s about discipline. It’s about the promise I made to the person I was when I started.

600 isn’t the end. It’s a checkpoint.
The goal has never been the weight on the bar… it’s becoming the person who can carry it.
