We are open!
Pop down to our new premises at 4 Market street, Hay-on-Wye between 10:30-5pm. Come and say hello!

As some of you know, we moved to Hay last year (@hayhouse.5) and I was lucky enough to have been welcomed into The Hay Makers Co-operative. As one of the nicest and most joyful bunch of makers you could ever wish to meet, I am over the moon to have met this collective, let alone be part of the gang! by @silverfish64

Day 16.

. Way sign

. First view of Santiago, under a blanket of mist.

. Arriving at the cathedral and meeting friends you've met along the Camino.

. Made it!

. He found me.

. Celebratory Beers and Tapas.

. Inside Santiago de Compostela, what an incredible building!

. The Botafumeiro.
They burn incense on high days, holidays and at special requests, it takes 2-3 priests to pull the rope and pulley system that swings it. That said, the smell of incense lingers inside the cathedral.

. Supper.

. The best lunch with the bestest of people, Javier and @tones613 who have walked over 500miles from San jean... 🩵💛 by @silverfish64

Day 15.

1. Waymarker.

2. Arzua. After 3 days of drizzle and rain it was nice to see the sun shining on this busy town. Famous for its cheese and 'fiesta do queixo' in March.

3. Deep paths lined with ancient Oaks, the gorse is just turning amber in the autumn sunlight.

4. Looking back.

5. Sweet horse chestnuts. Their spiky green cases litter the paths. Every November in Galicia they have a chestnut festival - Castañada, to celebrate this humble nut. To me, its Christmas and Bing Crosby!

6. Another Autumn favourite.

7. One of the many stone bridges you have to cross on the Camino.

8. Absolutely delicious Galician vegetable soup.

9. One man and his dog, walking to Santiago.

10. They love stickers! by @silverfish64

Day 14.

1. Waymark from Samos.

2. The font in the St.John Portomarín.

3. Climbing up out of Portomarín, through woodland paths at 7.30, dawn is arriving later as the days get shorter.

4. Rush hour.

5. Outside the church of Parroquin de San Triso, Palas de Rei, with @calypsojoly and @david__ash fellow Peregrinos.
This lovely young couple have come from St.Jean, some 730km and are walking in the footsteps of Calypso's grandparents.

6. A holloway of ancient Oak and new Eucalyptus trees.

7. The girls.

8. The municipal Albergue at Ribadiso.

9. The Best Galician vegetable soup.

10. Bell in need of support! by @silverfish64
