Priorities.. Here’s One 👇Something I’ve learned over the years when it comes to setting up camp is to get your sleeping platform level.There have been many times I’ve just eyeballed it and gone on with my activities, only to climb into bed late at night and realize I was lying on a cornhole board and, like the bag… sliding right off of it. And, also like the bag, I ended up sleeping like sh*t.Take the time to get your setup level right then and there.The @maxtraxhq boards I’ve had for over six years now make fantastic ramps to help get level in almost any situation. What is going on here?…👇👇So recently I changed up the suspension just alittle bit. My Forester sits roughly 800 Lbs over the stock curb weight. With all that weight on the stock suspension it just didn’t handle the best on the trail. What did we do??The front suspension consists of Forester Wilderness struts-Rallitek Sport springs for the 2021 Forester sport and a 2” strut spacer. The rear consists of Outback Wilderness struts-Rallitek Overload springs for the 2021 forester sport- and a 2.5” strut spacer. And of course with this lift we are running the Rallitek subframe spacer kit and a driveshaft carrier spacer to keep things more aligned. What was the result? When loaded down for trips the suspension has a firmer feel on quick bumps..softer and more controlled on low speed articulation thanks to the better dampening in the wilderness struts. The forester carries the extra weight perfectly on the trail now and feels fantastic. Overall we are sitting at just under 13 inches of ground clearance measured at the rear diff. Overall this was a very easy combination to set up and even better is most everything is OE which means servicing and replacing parts couldn’t be any easier. Huge thanks again to @silverbulletxv for helping me find this combo. .and of course a huge thanks to @rallitek_performance for making such high quality components. The strut spacers, subframe spacers and springs alone have been on this Forester for nearly 2 years now and they are still looking and working like new.
