My autumn-loving heart is full of the colors and scents of fall in the southern Rockies. Rain in the foot hills, snow in the mountains, cold nights, rattling leaves that tumble in a swirl to the ground, walks with friends (@wabisabietc ), the squash harvest, tomatoes hung to ripen, cats getting cozy. So many flowers still bloom in our garden beds during this late season warmth. The asters and latent bee balm show violet-pink among the predominately orange and yellow palette, but soon the color-scape will fade giving form a chance to shine as the leaves fall and blooms wither in the eminent cold and dark of winter. This combination of dark pinks with neutral fossil coral and dendritic agate speaks to this transitional time of year in my imagination. Newly finished and available. It was a delight for me to see these stones come together in this custom pair of dangles. A delightful client had sent a photo of an asymmetrical pair I had posted back in April asking if I’d be making more in the style. I couldn’t refuse the sweet invitation. The berry-red Rosarita next to the raw aquamarines makes me a little giddy! It’s like painting with stones. Though this pair is spoken for, there are a couple others nearing completion, and I may decided to make a couple more after that; the puzzling pieces together is rather satisfying. Near the end is a slide with the two in the makes. I’m open to inquiries about either pair. ❤️ And, the last slide stars Nightshade, queen of the dappled forest floor.
