Not fully fitting in. Not looking or feeling the same way as the majority of my schoolmates. ‘Strange unusual’ hairstructure, different features, other believes ect. ect. As a youngster me and my sister experienced feelings of not belonging or fitting in. Two brown girls from a far and strange land. Two brown girls with wooly black hair with other habits. We were so called the complete opposite of our classmates. At that young age we had difficulties to find our spot in school, class and everywhere around us. Luckily we had a few rolmodels to look up to. People, especially mom who reasured us that we were the most beautiful creatures she’d seen(of course cause she was our mother) and telling us there was nothing wrong about us. Because i was the ‘ stranger’ in the classroom, growing up i still didn’t feel pretty enough, strong enough or smart enough. Just like the Duckling from the story i didn’t feel like fitting in. It took me allmost a decade to finally understand who i was and was becoming. In my 40-ies God planted a golden reassurement in my being that i was good enough the way he made me. That undescribeable feeling i can never ever forget! I allmost every day meditate on that thought, i choose to speak truth in my own beïng that i am more than enough then wash off all the negativity 🦢🦜🐘 What’s YOUR inside voice saying/telling you? #skipthenegative #goodvibesonly #yahuwah by @silverswancc
