Thank you to everyone who reached out, sent me birthday love, and celebrated life with me from near and far. 🤍

This was the first birthday that I really made an effort to celebrate me and this beautiful life I get to live, and it was everything. I felt so loved, so happy, and so grateful.

And getting to celebrate with my nieces, who are always there for me, made it even more special. 🥹❤️

I love my family. I love my life. I love this journey.

✨ August at a glance ✨ This month felt like the longest and shortest all at once. From train rides and plane rides, to saying goodbye to my dad and celebrating my birthday just days later.
I buried my father, walked through the home I grew up in, designed bookmarks in his honor, and read at his funeral alongside my niece. I cleaned the family grave plot with my sister, braided my grand-niece’s hair for her birthday, and still found moments to smile, dance, and be present with the people I love.
There were mountain walks, morning coffees on rooftops, family beach trips, hotel sunsets, gym comebacks, nature walks, birthday parties, and fireside dancing. There were breakdowns too, but I persevered.
August taught me that grief and joy can live side by side. That even in the hardest moments, I can stay true to myself, carry my father’s legacy, and still find light. 💫 by @sim1nation
