Shout out to @picsby.palmer for capturing some special moments for me in my return to Baton Rouge! New memories that I will forever value! taken in Alex Box Stadium by @sim_shady13

There are truly not words to describe a moment like this. In May of 2015 I was certain that I had taken my last at bat - the most heart breaking reality for any ball player. Until last night, I got to be a kid again. In front of a packed Alex Box stadium, with my family and friends there watching. And not to mention with the support of the best team and coaches I could ask to be with in both dugouts. I could go on and on about how humbled and grateful I am for all of it. I have so many pictures and memories to post from this weekend that are coming soon!
What an absolute blessing this has been. taken in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by @sim_shady13

This past March, I let my buddy @gillum_66 bring his crazy, shirtless, dancing, back-flipping @thesavbananas and @thepartyanimals team to practice at our field in Baton Rouge, not knowing what the future held for me. We hung out and watched practice, which was fun but very different! The top pics in this post are from March of this year, and the bottom are all from June. I had no Earthly idea in March that I would be here now, taking those same pics, but with new teams and in new venues.

Naturally, I miss the young men that I had the privilege to coach at @brccathletics for the last 5 years - those guys will always have a place in my heart. I gave everything that I had and I am so proud of that, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a College Head College. I could not be more thankful for the experiences that prepared me for where I am now, and for the joy that the new position has brought me. Coaching The Visitors this summer was the most fun I’ve ever had coaching. They were an awesome group of guys that helped me find myself again. They truly taught me how to have fun again and to have the confidence to be myself.

Thank you to @yellowtuxjesse @emcole3 @coach_viro @berry3621 @mike_ev7 @rortega99 @zackfrong11 @toibarry25 @parkerbrandt40 @brysonwheeler22 @rynekelley @coach_drip27 @reginald_legend23 + all of the players and the many other people that have welcomed me and made this place so special!

Going forward, I have been blessed with the opportunity to stay involved with Banana Land full-time and will be staying in Savannah to help grow this outstanding organization! I will be helping to coach each of the three teams for the remainder of 2024, with a new assignment coming in 2025! Thankful for my family through all of this. There is no doubt that God works in mysterious ways! #burntheboats taken in The Savannah Bananas by @sim_shady13
