COOKED UP SOMETHING SPECIAL WITH MY BROTHERS! 🌞

A little while back, we got together to bring the music from my upcoming EP ADSM (Afro-Diasporic Soul Music) to life.

EPISODE 01: SOMETHING BETTER

Shot at the iconic @bardonalondon, this session was about more than playing the songs. It was about coming together, finding the feeling, and reminding ourselves why we make this music in the first place.

JOY. POWER. UNITY.

That’s the heartbeat of ADSM.

There’s something special about making music with people you love. The energy, the freedom, the little moments you could never rehearse. That’s where the magic lives.

Can’t wait for you to experience this one!

FULL LIVE SESSION PREMIERES NEXT WEDNESDAY ON YOUTUBE. 🎥

Keys: @whitej0rdans
Bass: @indigopearce
Drums: @simba.j.drums
Guitar: @brynpowellmusic
Percussion: Randy Lester

Mixed by @lucas.polo.producer

I recently stumbled across this video from the ICMP days.

In February, we lost @deanfranklinmusic. Dean was an incredible artist and vocalist, and it was a real pleasure to work with him and get to know him during uni. His voice and soul are definitely missed around the streets of London.

Iron Sky by @paolonutini has always been a favourite song of mine and It feels especially relevant to the world today, and the way Dean sings it is truly moving

❤️❤️

Big shout out to these two legends

A lil bit of stage POV

Second song in, my in-ear mix is distorting like hell.
The click is getting drowned out by the distortion.

Everytime I kick … it distorts … every time it distorts …. The click vanishes!
It’s a disco song. So it’s 4 on the floor!

A Classic case of, if you hear the metronome, then you’re out of time🫪

I take one ear out to have a break from the crackling …and all I hear is this mess of slap-delay mush🫨

Sounds pretty epic tho👌🏽

See if you can work out what Caleb is saying at the end of the Song🤣

It may be June tomorrow, but I’m still counting my blessings from December 🙏🏽😂

In the final days of 2025, I had the pleasure of travelling to Vietnam with my brother @caleb_kunle bringing his inspirational music to the HOZO fest in Hồ Chí Minh🇻🇳

I am beyond greatful for this experience and the people we connected with along the way.

@theprncssexp simply a beautiful human ❤️ Travelling long haul for the first time with a new friend may seem challenging! Not with princess tho!! Good vibes the whole way ❤️

Fresh off the plane, we met for the first time in the rehearsal room and instantly connected as people❤️
I now have brothers all the way in Vietnam 🙌🏽 it was an honour to share the stage with you!

@chauh_ our kind, thoughtful and amazing guide, she took us to her favourite places, answered our silly questions and requests, and gave us the best trip you could ask for! ❤️

The @kumbiaboruka family! 🕺🏽🕺🏽💃
We had the joy of sharing the stage and then celebrating Post gig with these big hearted, joyful, genuine people. So happy I met you guys, best night out ever haha❤️

@cyril_gelly gets a personal shoutout cause he’s awesome, and all drummers becomes bros when they meet for the first time haha😂🙌🏽

I could go on but I’ll leave it there for now!
2026 has been an amazing year so far and I feel blessed and excited to share what’s been happening 😁❤️

Life is fast moving, so don’t forget to stop and take in the journey every once in a while 🙌🏽

Big love,
Simba

Last October, I had the pleasure of working alongside the monstrously talented @akilhenrymusic 🎹 and @jayasafo 🎸

Supporting the insanely talented and gifted @zolamarcelle_ @norwichartscentre

Zola’s music is truly moving to witness, but to play… that’s a whole other story….
It was a blessing to sit on that stage and hear/ feel it being created aorund me.

I’ve included a fair few clips in this post, I couldn’t pick a favorite, so have a look thru and enjoy!

As hinted in the last slide👀
We’ve just returned from @sxsw Austin - Texas 🇺🇸

So keep an eye out for a post about that crazy experience with the @jazzrefreshed fam soon!!!

Big love,
Simba

Last July, I had the pleasure of joining @caleb_kunle on stage for the first time - alongside the monster duo of @whitej0rdans 🎹 @indigopearce 🎸

Thank you to @benskerritt for making everything run like clockwork 🙌🏽

A lil rundown/ Story -

With a fully burnt out clutch I drove the boys to the airport, we flew to Heidelberg 🇩🇪, played our first show, stayed the night, flew back to the car, jumped straight on the road to Southampton and then on the ferry to the Isle of Wight for a second show.

We woke up early the next day, jumped back on the ferry, I dropped the boys at Southampton train station, drove to Somerset, played a wedding function gig and finally drove home to London arriving home at 5am.
Slept for a few hours and headed to church in the morning.

Life is funny cause at the same time, my tenancy was running out on my flat, I had a few weeks left to find a new house, the garage quoted £1000 for a new Clutch and the situation was dark!

But Now I feel blessed, because instead of remembering the fear of imminent London homelessness😂 I only remember the excitement and joy of sharing the stage with these three amazing humans!

Since July, many exciting things have happened with Caleb, but this mini crazy tour will always be a special memory for me, as my first time touring and my first show with my brothers @caleb_kunle @indigopearce @whitej0rdans

(Also when we got back to London @charlie_clugston found us the perfect flat just in time😌)

I guess the moral is, somtimes there is to much happening and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but if you focus on one step forward at a time, you will always make a way through and you will come out happier and stronger everytime🙌🏽

Love ❤️
Simba

Still in awe that my final show of 2025 was playing to thousands in Vietnam – what a way to close the year. 🇻🇳

This life is truly filled with wonder and the sweetest surprises.

Deep gratitude to the incredible teams at @citytetfest & @hozo_musicfestival for this brilliant opportunity – it has been my honour to bring our Joy, Power and Unity to your city. 🫶🏾

To my dream team, I couldn’t do this without you:
