The apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the tree. As I kid I grew up watching my dad compete in Ironman races. He has always been one of my biggest inspirations and I vowed that I would eventually compete in one to honor him.

The stars aligned perfectly when my best friend @emmaheichelheim began competing in triathlons and asked if I would compete in an Ironman with her. Nervous for what it meant to commit, I knew this was the right opportunity to achieve a lifetime goal with a lifetime friend by my side.

Checking off this bucket list means a lot to me. Not only because it’s been in the back of my mind since I was a child; but also because of all of the support from my family and friends.

I am truly humbled and grateful for my parents and sister for their belief in me and everything they provided, my wonderful girlfriend @sarah_marie913 for being there every step of the way, and my absolutely incredible friends that trained with me throughout this journey.

Crossing the finish line was the only thing that mattered but I’m thrilled that I was able to go sub 12 hours by emptying the tanks during the marathon. Gotta love to run!

The volunteers and venue were incredible, I can honestly say I was blown away with what an amazing experience that was and a memory I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.

Now someone get me a beer and my mountain bike!

Truth be told 2024 wasn’t my year. My life took a turn and I encountered some valleys and lows that I wasn’t prepared for. However, reflecting on the past year and trusting in God’s plan, words truly can’t describe the gratitude I have for these people, places, and memories. Here are just a few moments that I am incredibly grateful for:

The Grand Teton, worth every step. Another truly epic adventure with the Rose brothers! A huge thank you to @riley_j_rose for leading the charge and @caseyroseut for constant laughs along the way. Had to go see what all the hype was about and oh boy did Japan deliver! It’s no secret that the skiing and food is top tier but everything else about that country is equally as amazing. I’m so thankful for @fish_a_day and @joshlnkbr for showing me the ropes! We met a lot of incredible people along the way. Sushi and spines. Not enough can be said about time spent here. Getting to walk amongst giants with @simboski and @joshlnkbr is something only few get to see. Japan is easily one of my favorite places I have ever traveled. Things are changing there in the mountains but you cannot avoid change. It will always be close to my heart. See you next year! 🤘🏽🇯🇵

Took a trip down to the frozen tundra of Mordor for a few turns. What a stunning country filled with the greatest people. Another incredible experience in Jackson with a few of my best friends! Started the morning off at 4:30 with a 3 mile approach on the SUPs. The reflection of the bright stars on the still lake was unbelievably gorgeous. Our hike/ climb was steep and hard but absolutely worth the breathtaking views from the top of Mt. Moran. I am so extremely blessed and thankful for this group of guys. Happy 29th birthday @riley_j_rose , already stoked for next year’s adventure! taken in Mount Moran by @simboski
