THE FEMALE SHOW @munichartgallery puts female perspectives at the center of the international art scene - not as a counter-narrative, but as a natural platform for contemporary art. For four weeks, the focus is on attitude, art, exchange, and the joy of discovering just how diverse artistic styles can be - and how much they have in common. THE FEMALE SHOW 2026 brings together 68 artistic perspectives that, on the surface, have nothing in common except that they were created by female artists. Normally, when you hear or talk about a “female-only show”, the next question that immediately comes to mind is: “And what’s the theme?” We are trying to break through precisely this context in order to focus solely on the art itself and not on the artistic statement about feminism or gender that the general public typically expects. The art is free; the exhibition is the statement. The premise of the exhibition statement is that as long as the artwork is displayed separately from its creator, it is solely the viewer’s personal taste that determines the artwork’s value. THE FEMALE SHOW aims, regardless of a specific date, to help strengthen the role of women in art and to send a clear message about the need for equality in the art world. Simone Hamann The individual series of works is the visible part which reflects an inward transformation. The artistic process features in connection with the material an interplay of personal perception, reception and the artist’s own subconscious ideas. Those ideas can then be observed in the particular form, colour and material. Clouds release a pulse. Their energy and airiness are captured, recalled and released in individual dots, the so-called Bubbles. Those Bubbles disperse in the pictorial space and make an artistic statement. A playful process follows: the series develops a new, vibrating strength. This strength is captured and finds its focus in a new shape, the so called Simultaneous. Those forms subsequently undergo different stages. Rotating around themselves they find their shapes, coexisting in accumulation and concentrating in patterns like camouflage. Finally, they are transformed by the artist into new, temporary formations. The works by Simone Hamann are characterized by powerful shades of colour and a playful handling of the material. The emerging forms materialize ideas from the artist’s intellectual world. Her works are given titles which include the observer in the interplay between perception and association. They allow the highest possible freedom of thought and openness of interpretation. Series are designed to convey a feeling of infinity. In doing so, the artist plays with the concept of the open work of art. NOCH 5 TAGE Bis zur Kunstnacht 🎉 In der St.Anna Kapelle (53) zeigt der Kunstverein Passau dieses Jahr konkrete Kunst in der Ausstellung „PUNKT KOMMA STRICH“ von den Künstler*innen Simone Hamann und Robert Dufter. Bereits um 16 Uhr gibt es ein Künstlergespräch und die Führung durch die Ausstellung. Ab ca. 17:30 Uhr gibt es dann launige Folkmusik der Passauer Session Group "6/8tel" . Zudem präsentiert Passaus jüngste Nachwuchskünstlerin (13J.) ihre Manga-Art. Still thinking about a wonderful evening at St. Anna Chapel in Passau. It was a pleasure to visit PUNKT KOMMA STRICH, curated by Christina Bielitza, featuring the works of @robertdufter and @simo_muc. An inspiring exhibition filled with thoughtful conversations and outstanding contemporary art. The exhibition is on view until 26 July, so if you’re in Passau, it’s well worth a visit. We’re also excited about what lies ahead and look forward to an upcoming collaboration with the Kunstverein Passau.
