𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗖: 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥

2026 - New Year, New Me. I hate that saying, but this year it kinda seems fitting. 150 days ago, I got diagnosed with cancer. Even though I managed to quickly accept this new reality, typing that word and associating it with myself still feels odd and unreal. After several appointments and examinations, I started chemotherapy on the 17th of September. Four cycles of treatments later, the day before christmas I received a clean CT-scan.

In 2026 I will celebrate two special occassions: My 30th birthday and the first anniversary of coming down with this disease and I can‘t avoid thinking about this year as a kind of new start for me. There‘s a life before and a life after cancer. And this new life starts now.

Fuck you cancer, I won.
