A full circle moment. ❤️🎬 Opening Manchester Indian Film Festival as its Brand Ambassador and introducing Peter Brook’s iconic 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚 alongside his son, filmmaker Simon Brook is one of those moments I’ll treasure. Growing up in India, I devoured everything I could about Peter Brook. His groundbreaking nine-hour production of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚 fascinated me long before I ever imagined I’d one day be introducing it. Back then, building tech ventures was my full-time world. Theatre and TV were my part-time love. Watching 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚 on Indian television as a serialised version in the 1990s inspired me to spend even more time on the stage. So, sharing this moment with Simon Brook, decades later, felt quietly special. 🙌🏻 Thank you, #Manchester, for such a wonderful response. And thank you to everyone who helped spread the word and made the screening such a success. 🙏 Some moments take decades to come together… and that’s when magic happens. ❤️‍🔥 @welovemiff @caryrajinder @simonbrookproductions @loveliff @homemcr @cgimanchester taken in Manchester, United Kingdom by @simonbrookproductions
