The variety of shots needed on links golf is what makes it so special.
Her we had 3 options for 1 shot!
•flop shot
• putter
• bump and run.
This is the shot I would choose 99% of tha time to almost guarantee the putt for par.
Choosing the shot u want to play and committing to it is all that’s required.
When we start second guessing ourselves..that’s when we are in trouble.
Watch this shot played a lot and effectively this week at @theopen @royaltroongc @alexclappgolf

@simondysongolf gives us 1 shot to add to your locker to shoot lower scores👌🏽

3/4 shot can be used in so many occasions to help us control our yardage in wind, cold, soft conditions, when we lose our swing, to get us out of trouble under trees… the list is endless!

I find with players when they communicate clear intention to me they get to visualize the shot so much better than just hitting it!
Here is a great example , saw the target, visualized the shot clearly , focus was intent and executed it perfectly!
Add this to your pre shot routine even if it is just talking out loud to yourself. 🗣️

Think about:
What you want to do!!!!!
Rather than:
What you don’t want to do!! ⛳️

3 holes. One challenge. Can she shoot under par for £20
How good is Charlotte under pressure? 👀

No muligans, No second chances. Just 3 holes of golf.

Here’s how she got on… ⛳️

What do you reckon — could you handle the pressure?

Most golfers stand over the ball thinking about
their grip, their takeaway, their swing path. That is called internal focus and it is quietly killing your game.

The best players do the opposite.

They think about the target, the flight of the ball, the shot they want to hit. That is external focus.

Me and @simondysongolf break down what both actually mean and which one you should be using on the course.

Which one are you? Drop it in the comments.

Playing with a European Tour winner and he’s breaking down my pitching numbers on Trackman without a single technical point.

No do this with your hands. No “fix your swing path.” Just numbers. And suddenly it all made sense.

Simon Dyson showed me that a yard of curve left to right is the difference between a pure strike and the one that doesnt do what you want it to do. You know as soon as it comes off the face. Every good golfer does.

This is what learning from the best actually looks like. @simondysongolf

Golf is hard. Simplify it.
