had to come back with a bangggg

@wipro_bengaluru_marathon

guys I’m not sick anymoreee and just completed another timed half marathon. From not being able to move from bed for 2 weeks and losing 4kgs to showing up and finishing the race! i sure am happy. kept it easy cause we don’t wanna get sick again, do we??? starting the training block for my next race soon ;)

About the marathon:
- i wasted alot of time at the hydration stations
- i didnt fill for form for the waves and was stuck at wave C, so had to play subway surfers the whole race. more than running, i have said “coming through” “on your right” “sorry” “excuse me” “thank you”
- mid race, I had to stop and use the porta-potty lmaoo
- CRAMPED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE! my calves were on fire. initially, I couldn’t even understand what i was feeling. calves cramped at 18k, i wanted to die
- i cried at the finish line and i genuinely don’t know why
- wont lie, at 8k i thought i couldnt finish the race, then again at 14k and again at 20k. but look, WE PUSHED THROUGHHH
- for the first time ever, people recognized me, cheered me on, and some even came out especially to support me. always grateful :)))
- LOVED LOVED the energy, the posters, and the loud cheers from the entire spectator squad and everyone who motivated me!!

a lot went wrong, and yes, i definitely expected a better experience. but at the end of the day, you can’t control the chaos, you can only choose your takeaway. taken in Bangalore, India by @simone_joshi

Swipe to see me touching the bean, holding a hand, kissing a dinosaur, meeting sue (largest and most complete T-rex fossil to be discovered), and eating a deep dish pizza in Chicago hehe by @simone_joshi
