I wanted to reintroduce myself 👋

I’ve realised since my Europe trip there’s a few more faces on here who perhaps don’t know how I got to living in my van this year. So here’s my van life journey so far: from Warburtons bread van to Betty the travelling machine.

P.S I’m very grateful to even have one person watching the silly reels I make. Thank you for coming along wether it was from the beginning or you are just joining now🫶

(If you are from those scarecrow van building days, lucky you 😂)

Meet the new and improved Betty! (I’ve finally named her)

A whole new kitchen, wardrobe, bench seat, storage, accessories and lots of new coats of paint later.

Part 13 of building a sauna 🛠️

L shape benches are being fitted, and the baby pigeons are more like hangry teenagers

I did actually do some things other than build a sauna part 2

Weddings, a holiday, an eclipse, saw some London sun, spent some time in Cornwall and did some van build/travel talks at 2 festivals this year. Happy days!

It feel weird having seen multiple season changes during this build 😅

Sauna build part 12 for @wild.plunge

She’s all cladded! So happy that the cladding is now done, the walls are in (apart from one tiny section, just waiting for the delivery)

Fitting a door simultaneously the scariest and most annoying part of this build. Huge fear of smashing it and making it all flush to allow the push lock to fit was so frustrating 🥴

But it’s all in! What do we think?

Part 12 of my Sauna build for @wild.plunge

Vents are finished and the cladding is started to form. Having the ceiling done and 3 walls has me very excited!

Building a sauna Part 11!

Big changes on the build, the wood burner is in! It’s making the whole build now look very professional so far 😅 now I’ve got to live up to it with the rest of this cladding

This will be a sauna for @wild.plunge who will be renting it out for events so stay tuned 👀

Building a sauna part 10!

I am building a mobile sauna for my friends at @wild.plunge

I nearly didn’t post this as I was embarrassed to show that I cut the corners of vinyl before I glued, and that there are lumps but I promised I would document the highs and lows of this build so here we are. Not a job I want to do again or a skill I want to learn further, next time I’ll ring the professionals.

It didn’t turn out too bad though, with the cladding over the top it looks good and most of it will be under bench seats with a wooden walkway on the floor.

AD | Living in a small space means I try to reduce the amount of things I own and it helps if the things I do have are also super small!

The @coleman_uk Snap ‘N Go is genuinely such lovely quality, the liner inside is silicon and super easy to clean. I have the 35L cooler, this is the smallest one, they get bigger from here. How cool is the speed in which it pops up!?

The @campingaz_uk stove (also comes in a 2 burner) is so compact. It is absolutely perfect for camping, beach BBQ’s and trekking. Would fit great in a rucksack or you can easily carry it in the bag it comes in. Also, my city park people how great is this little stove instead of reusable BBQ trays that always end up in landfill! [With the dry ground that we have at the moment in the UK please be responsible and make sure you don’t have BBQ’s straight onto dry grass this summer]

Where would you use these items?
