Baby, I’m Home 💙⚓️ by @simonedhunter

At the start of this year, I told myself I wanted to host an event. And Friday was a reminder of what can come to life when you put a little trust in yourself and actually go after the things you want to do.

Creative Spaces wasn’t just something I wanted to create for others. It was something I wanted to create for myself, too.

Whether you’re building something, navigating a transition, just getting started, or figuring out how to scale, I wanted there to be room for you.

Seeing that vision come to life and watching people genuinely connect was so fulfilling.

I can’t thank @bluescoffeeteaco enough for being the perfect partner for our very first event. And a special thank you to @_thetaylort for spotlighting our attendees on @noholdingbackthepodcast and @cristinaashly_ for powering our Beyond The Title session with the @offworque card game.

And if there’s one thing I hope somebody takes from this, it’s to just do the thing. You don’t have to have every detail figured out before you start. Sometimes you just have to trust yourself enough to see what happens when you try. by @simonedhunter

The first Creative Spaces was everything we hoped it would be and more.

Yesterday, we brought together a room full of creatives, founders, and people building something of their own, and what happened in that room was so special.

We got some work done, met new people, shared ideas, had real conversations, and made connections that went beyond exchanging Instagram handles.

But my favorite part? Watching community happen naturally. No forcing it. Just people showing up, being present, and making space for one another.

To everyone who spent their Friday with us, THANK YOU. For showing up, bringing your energy, and helping make our very first Creative Spaces what it was.

This was the first of many. And we’re just getting started. ❤️ by @simonedhunter

I couldn’t have y’all pulling up tomorrow without trying the fall menu first. 😂 Both drinks passed the test.

Tomorrow, we’re bringing Creative Spaces to Blue’s Coffee & Tea Co., and I’m excited to see this room come together. Bring your laptop, whatever you’re working on, and come spend part of your Friday with us.

We’re making room for good work, new connections, and conversations that go beyond “so, what do you do?”

Coming solo? Come anyway. I’d love to meet you. 🖤

Where do creatives go to feel creative again? Of course we’re at @culturecon 📍 by @simonedhunter

Let’s talk about what’s actually happening in the room for the first Creative Spaces!

We’re starting at Blue’s Coffee & Tea Co., a Black family-owned café inside the National Union Building in downtown DC.

Bring your laptop, your current project or the thing you keep saying you need time to finish. You’ll have time to settle in, get some real work done, grab something from Blue’s and meet people outside your usual circle without the forced networking energy.

The day is designed for focus, conversation and visibility.

@cristinaashly_, founder of @offworque, will lead a guided session centered on real conversation and connecting beyond job titles.

@_thetaylort of No Holding Back The Podcast will also sit down with select guests for short, on-camera conversations about what they’re building.

Come for the change of scenery. Leave with some work done and a few new names added to your contacts!

Where do creatives go to feel creative again?

I’ve been exploring that question for a while. Now I want to bring people into some of those places with me.

Through @onbrand.creative, I’m launching Creative Spaces, a co-working series in cool a** places around the DMV & beyond. We’re starting at Blue’s Coffee & Tea Co., a Black family-owned café in downtown D.C.

Bring what you’re working on. Spend a few hours in a different setting. Meet some new people while you’re there.
