can’t believe it’s been 2 months in our newborn bubble already with one of the most adorable gifts we’ve ever received. parenthood is a different kind of rewarding. postpartum, especially recovering from a c-section, is incredibly humbling and honestly really hard at times. I do count it all joy though. so far my obsessions with Sonny are his yawns, newborn scrunch, contact naps (there is nothing that compares to this!), 5 am snuggles after feeding, and most recently we’ve been getting our first smiles! he does fight his daytimes naps and I dont love that 😂 but I seriously love this boy so so much. He’s brought so much sunshine to our lives already ☀️ it’s still and always Sonny Days Ahead 💛 by @simonemsanchez

After 10 months from the day we broke ground, we officially completed one of the coolest projects we’ve ever been able to do.I have over 6,000 videos documenting this build, and this is just a small glimpse of what started as a vision in my head and became reality.This home sat vacant for 15–20 years in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Columbus, Ohio. So why didn’t we tear it down?
First, keeping the original structure allowed us to grandfather the existing setbacks, meaning we could build much closer to the street than current zoning would allow.
Second, it just never felt right to tear it down. The original home had incredible bones solid brick, solid block, and a history worth preserving.
Looking back, all I can say is that this is God’s work. We’re simply trying to be faithful stewards of the gifts, opportunities, and talents He’s entrusted to us.
Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this vision a reality.

on Friday July 17th my water broke unexpectedly at 5am. Our baby boy Sonny made his entrance intro the world 3 weeks early but perfectly healthy. He is absolutely beautiful and we are crazy about him already. It is an indescribable feeling to see and hold your newborn for the first time. The Lord has been SO kind to us and we are so blessed and grateful for our bundle of joy. We’re officially a family of 3! Our little Sunshine 🥹☀️💛😭 by @simonemsanchez

The final product of our spec build in Upper Arlington. 🏡

All I can say is God has been so good to us. This was only possible by His grace. I’m so grateful for everyone who worked on this home.

A special thank you to my wife, realtor, and soon to be mother of our child, who has been by my side every step of the way cheering me on, praying over me, and truly believing in me.

Thank you to my business partner, Brad, and his wife, Jenna, who have been so present behind the scenes. They believed in the vision from the very beginning and were all in. We make one heck of a team, and this is only the beginning.

Thank you to all of our family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers who have been cheering us on throughout this journey.

We spent the last 10 months working in this home almost every day. What started as an abandoned 800 sq. ft. house was transformed into a 5,400 sq. ft. home in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Columbus, Ohio.

On your first Father’s Day, as we prepare to meet our son, I hope he is as sweet, kind, and gentle as you are. I hope he cares and looks out for his mom the way you do for yours. I pray he is as selfless as you are and has your heart of integrity in all that you do. The world needs more men like you, I’m so excited to raise our baby boy to look up to you as the best example of a father. Still in awe that I get to live in the privilege of motherhood and even more grateful that I get to do it with the love of my life. Still overwhelmed from all the love from last weekend as we celebrated our sweet Sonny. 💛

It’s hard not to feel incredibly humbled by how loved and supported we are by so many people we care about deeply. Seeing our friends and family come together to celebrate our baby boy meant more to us than we can put into words. A special thank you to my aunt for making a last-minute venue change happen when the forecast decided to test our “Sonny Days Ahead” theme with nonstop rain predictions. 😂

Despite the forecast, the Lord blessed us with a beautiful day, and the shower turned out even better than we could have imagined. We are so grateful for every gift, every encouraging word, every diaper and wipe, every prayer, and every person who took the time to celebrate with us.

We love you all so SO much, and our hearts are so full. Now we’re counting down the days until we get to meet our baby boy. ☀️💛 taken in Columbus, Ohio by @simonemsanchez
