Each piece in the ’Buké’ series is a playful composition, reminiscent of arranging flowers or building with Lego, where contrasts, balance, and harmony guide the design.”It’s inspired by the art of flower arrangements… It’s about contrasts and finding balance and harmony in between them,”Skinner reflects.By sandblasting the glass, he unifies these disparate objects, covering scratches while letting each piece tell its own story. Here’s another look at pieces from the “Älvsjö Gård” exhibition. This armchair features hand-dyed canvas with deep magenta hues and details like exaggerated pleats.I initially wanted to explore unconventional shapes but found myself drawn to traditional forms instead. Last month I had the pleasure to be part of the group show “Älvsjö Gård”, curated by @novabeatrice at @sthlmfurnfair. The exhibition presents experimental, limited-edition works by International designers navigating the space between artisanal craft and industrial design.I presented a series of upholstered pieces in hand-dyed canvas, together with a new Buké lamp made from vintage glassware. Last week was truly special, as I had the opportunity to visit Paris and show some of my latest work at the @indiamahdavi Project Room N°18, Another Grammar of Ornament curated by @danthawley as part of @matterandshape’s (hors les murs) programme for 2025.
