‘A Place to Rest’ ~new digital painting, 2026.

I’m reminded that I find intuitive treasures when I take time for tranquility.
Enjoying the seasons of my being, following the natural rhythms through each day, months and years. Not an assembly line, but in divine time.

Alliteration vibrations: Nestled in a warm embrace, a wolf mother and its pup rest among the peaceful presence of pastoral peaks with patience and purpose. Sensual geometry softly swirls through the soil and sky, reconnecting and remembering that rest is remedy and love is a place we always return to.

.
This was started last autumn, inspired by the seasonal changes of warm colors and calm return to slowing down. Now complete, as we nest in the northern hemisphere, welcoming the inspirational wonders of winter.

I completed another painting in the fall called ‘Coyote Creek’, and had a few different ideas of a wolf or coyote image at the time. It’s common for me to have multiple concepts and test them out. They don’t always play out, but this one had a sweet spot for me so I wanted to see it through. Making sense to play with it again now with this restful season of tuning inwards.

New digital painting ~ “Altar of the Heart”

Face to face with the wild rapture of this wondrous world is a point of stillness.
In a moment of reverence and reflection, sitting at the Altar of the Heart, a river of light flows through all things, imbued with divine nature. This new artwork comes to fruition as the spring blossoms bloom, soaking in the sun’s rays, and bees rejoice in a symphony of regeneration.

This is kind of a sequel or companion painting to ‘Sentinels of Spirit’. They’ll come together through animation in Metta Grove Realm 2 (currently in the works)

🔸Bring this Altar to your home…

Metta Grove Experience is now streaming online. 💫

After years of touring the show in theatres across Canada, it has now been refined for home viewing.

So now you can cozy up together with this heart-opening journey.

Metta Grove is a visionary art concert that merges the essence of cinematic films, guided meditations, sound journeys, and psychedelic experiences.

Combining over 20 years of my creative endeavours.

It is a multimedia symphony that elicits nourishing relaxation, wonder, and euphoria.

There’s an intro where I share insights about my inspiration and creative process.
My wife, Jane, shares insights about somatic experiencing and following inner guidance.

Metta Grove Experience deepens when viewed with a group of people in an intentional setting.

Break free from the doom scroll! ;)

You can watch it for free on YouTube or download your own copy through my website.

“I worked in the Science Centre in Edmonton for 10 years, and I’ve seen and been part of the production of my fair share of multimedia presentations. I’ve never seen such intricate visualizations as I saw at Metta Grove. Bravo, indeed!” - Brian Chu

More on this work In progress …oil painting after 17 years off, and mostly digital only.
Feels good to slip and slide around with the brush, though a bit rusty.
I’m still considering this more of a study for something larger.
You probably know that I’m obsessed with trees…so much that they appear in the clouds. 😅

Title name unknown, taking suggestions in the comments….

There’s a sweetness that happens when the air turns crisp, and the leaves start to glow with the autumn amber. As the days grow shorter and the world outside gets a little colder, I find myself thinking about the sanctuary we find in one another.

For me, fall has always been an invitation to slow down, get cozy, and seek out the scenes and people that bring genuine warmth to my soul. It’s a season that naturally turns us inward, reminding us of the beauty of being close.

Fall days are spent well in finding fellowship with family and friends.

“A Place To Rest” is a digital painting I created to remind me of this.

This scene evokes memories of the Rocky Mountains in BC, Canada, with deep mountain valleys of tamarack trees and a variety of other fantastic fall foliage.

Only one week away! @spirit_plant_medicine
Looking forward to another deep dive into discovery about dosing and delightful community connections.

I’ve participated in SPMC since 2017, providing art for the promo flyers, managing the art gallery and performing visuals to the live music. It is an honour to represent so many artists from around the world to this encouraging audience that engages with and understands the visionary art message.

Every conference leaves me inspired, having learned more from all the presentations, making new personal connections and revisiting a kindred community that I sometimes only see there.

I always look forward to returning to this event, filled with an atmosphere of kindness and curiosity.

All my life, forests have been my sanctuary, teacher, and studio.

This carousel shows some of my artwork from over 20 years of my time with trees.

While I draw inspiration from wild places around the world, most of these are inspired by the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest, from British Columbia to California.

Every moment with these paintings has been a practice in listening: to ancient wisdom, enduring patience, and the timeless stillness that an old-growth forest can offer.

When the world feels too loud or rushed, the forest offers a steady, rooted reminder: breathe, slow down, and remember your roots… you are held.

Swipe through to ponder this path with me, and tell me in the comments:
Do you have a favorite forest that you visit or a type of trees you love most?

🌿{Save this post for whenever you need a moment of tranquility with trees, or share it with a fellow lover of the forests.}

Art for Nepal disaster relief fundraiser ~ I’m offering up this canvas print of my artwork “Return To Source”, to help raise funds for the victims of the recent Nepal flood devastation. First, from a massive flood and now, more recently, massive landslides.

Joining with @metalfornepalorg , 100% of the money raised will go directly towards their ongoing relief efforts in Nuwakot, Nepal. They are working with a small community that has been devastated by the floods and desperately needs support. The funds raised will help provide children and families with essentials, including food, clothing, toys, art supplies and sports equipment.

This piece seemed fitting, with a Buddha spirit in the center of the sun, and Nepal, as the birthplace of Buddha. This is an offering of prayer, knowing we all return to the source of our divine origin.

HOW TO BID:
- Place your bid here in the comments.
- I will announce a winner here and send you a DM.

The Art:
