A song about a journey and inspiration and a very personal project for me.

Me and @fayrosamond_ wanted to collaborate on a film and when her friend @lydzirose sent her this song it was the perfect opportunity.

This intimate journey started in Ashton Court in Bristol and ended in Devon. Fay's dancing and choreography and this song become a constant presence and joy for the many months of conception, shooting and editing. Using nature, the beauty of the words as inspiration it's a work and collaboration I'm very proud of.

Out tonight at 1800

OSO BLANCO · TWO DAYS TO GO
23.09.26 · 6PM 🤍🪽
I almost wish I had shared more of the journey of making this film
A friend once said to me that perhaps it isn’t really about the finished piece at all — it is about what happens to us in the process of creating it. How making something changes us, touches the people around us, and becomes part of the vibration of living from the heart.
And Oso Blanco has very much been a journey of the heart.
How do we dissolve the things that keep us from moving towards the heart — towards what we really love, what we long for, and the life that is asking to be lived through us?

Dance, yoga, music, sound, horses and the land have always been ways I can remember something wordless and present within. There is something about moving on ancient land that makes me feel the presence of those who came before me — as though my ancestors are somewhere in the landscape, whispering: dance. Listen. Pray.

And then there is @lydzirose and her exquisite rendition of Oso Blanco. There is such a quiet beauty in her voice and in this song. From the beginning it felt as though it held a world we wanted to enter rather than simply illustrate.

Working with @simonhedges1972 we rehearsed. We experimented. We did take after take. We became completely captivated by what was beginning to emerge, while also being clear that we wanted to make a piece of art — something considered and crafted, born from our lives, our inspirations and our different artistic practices, rather than simply turning up and improvising something for the camera.

Part of the film was created at Ashton Court Mansion — an extraordinarily beautiful place, and also one carrying a complicated history. Parts of the mansion are fragile and in need of restoration, while fragments of its extraordinary past remain. The wider estate itself holds ancient trees, some more than 700 years old.
Ashton Court’s history reaches across the Atlantic to Jamaica, my family’s heritage, where the Smyth family profited from plantations worked by enslaved African people. I don’t want to separate that history from the beauty of this place. Continued in notes ♥️ by @simonhedges1972

COMING SOON • 23rd September, Equinox 2026 ✨

Super grateful to @fayrosamond_ & @simonhedges1972 for their b e a u t i f u l interpretation of this song, written by @arnaldo.sonajero 🦋

Beauty is something I feel that we all need more of in our lives, nowadays, and it is truly within the arts and nature where I have found it. True soul nourishment seems to be found in movement, voice, art, the plant, mineral & animal kingdoms… this earth that we have the honour to call home 💛

And here we have such a beautiful piece of loving, nourishing creativity in dance, music & film to share with you guys in 9 days, which shall delight your heart and soul… through beauty! 👐🏼

So excited for you to see it!

Blessings ☀️

OSO BLANCO — COMING IN TWO WEEKS

AUTUMN EQUINOX

A dance film collaboration
woven through movement, land & medicine song.
♥️ 🥀 🪽 🤍

What is Oso Blanco to you?

This beautiful song I first heard in ceremony. I expect I was in some kind of deep existential crisis. These medicine songs hold so much beauty; it can feel as if they are a passage of light from source, reaching into your heart to help you merge the separate self experience into the timeless, formless shared experience of love we all are.

I would hear the song emerge in my thoughts after ceremonies, and I would then enthusiastically message a friend, humming down the phone for an answer. Luckily, I have very wonderful, knowledgeable friends. I later went to find the song, write it down, learn the chords and sing it for myself.

When you hear the song, what do you feel or see?

When I first heard the song with Lydia, I swirled around my kitchen with a feeling of sweet, spacious nectar within hand gestures and spirals.

But over time, dancing with the song has been an incredibly emotional, exquisite experience. It reached into parts of me I didn’t know would move through me, into the dance. And for this, Lydia, Simon and Dan, I am so grateful. Thank you. It has been the highlight of my year.

Lydia’s other song, Estrellita Divina, is also incredibly beautiful, and I would love to make one for this song too.

How did the collaboration begin?

Dan and Lydia got in touch with me to say they had recorded the song and had visualised me dancing to it with my horses.

Shared intention

Our hope is simply that this film continues to travel with the same care, beauty and integrity with which it was created.

May it honour your song, the land, the horses, and everyone whose gifts helped bring it into being, while gently carrying its medicine into the hearts of all who encounter it.

Follow our journey as we count down and share glimpses from behind the film, its landscapes and the beautiful beings who helped bring it to life.

May its medicine travel far.

With love and gratitude,
Queenie Rose • Fay Rosamond
Simon Hedges • Dan Collins

COMING SOON · OSO BLANCO

Autumn Equinox · 23 September

We are so excited to finally share Oso Blanco — a dance film woven to the beautiful medicine song and voice of Queenie Rose.

For years, this song has travelled through me within dance, song and prayer…. and moved through different chapters of my life. To then be invited to create a dance film in response to it — to listen through the body and translate something of its beauty, prayer and medicine into movement and image — has been such an honour.

Filmed across landscapes deeply dear to my heart, within the lands of my home, and created in collaboration with Simon Hedges, Oso Blanco became a meeting place between movement, music, landscape, horses and spirit.

A visual prayer inspired by and woven through Queenie Rose’s exquisite rendition — allowing the song to move beyond sound and find another expression through body, earth and image.

We can’t wait to finally let this creation travel out into the world.

A Medicine Song Dance Film
Released on the Autumn Equinox · 23.09.26
