Hello beautiful people, I have the NTS Rockvilla space in Glasgow for the week of 2nd - 6th Nov, I’m working on a piece about mental health and group therapy sessions. So I am looking for actors with strong improv skills for three short sessions at the space. You’d only be needed for 2hrs on a Monday, (individually) Wednesday (group sessions) and Friday (short sharing). These rehearsals will take place between 9-5pm at the space.

All actors will receive an honorarium of £50 for taking part. (Literally out my pocket) Any age/gender.

To find out more just DM me :) please share. by @simonjayness

I’m virtually walking the length of Gaza in October to raise money for @medicalaidpal - who do essential work on the ground - dealing with one of the worst atrocities of humanity. Link in bio and stories to donate. by @simonjayness

The incredible #knifeangel sculpture at the bottom of Leith Walk till the end of September. Made from thousands of recovered knives, many etched with names of those affected by knife crime. It serves as a national monument against violence and aggression and was truly humbling to visit and take it in with others. @britishironworkcentre has created something that speaks to a terrible reality that has caused so much pain in our communities. by @simonjayness

Yr Wyddfa - what a beautiful and mystical mountain. A place above the clouds, accessible by steep rocky paths, guided by moonlight. I met some wonderful people who were also fundraising for @mermaidsgender - so if you haven’t donated yet - well i went up and down over 3000 freaking feet - so get some coin for the great cause - now a lie down x Big thanks to our Sherpas - and all the people at @global_adventure_challenges :) xx taken in Summit Of Snowdon, Wales by @simonjayness

Darling little holiday with Robert. I could never repay him for all the kindnesses, as we trolled along the marina, drinking milkshakes and watching the topless hunks run by. Amazing food, the hot sun, nude beaches, cycling by the coast, the local flowers! So sad for it to be over xxx by @simonjayness

Continuous Ruminations by @rhodian_prince - is an excellent collection of poetry. Starting with a deep sense of personal loss, there are delicate poems that feel like the inner workings of the heart, but we move into these big cinematic sci-fi visions with stanzas that take in galaxies and nebulae! Also Sprinkled with comedy, Jamie can make something profound out of a dreaded group project at uni, their skill is that deft. A poem about a train to Kings Cross is devastating in its acuity. ‘Almost Things’ is perhaps my favourite, where the lines are almost…, the self actualisation of ‘Melvart’, and the most delicious encapsulation of the fomo we get upon scrolling through social media: ‘they look happy, or at least symmetrical.’ (Link to the collection on Jamie’s insta - or my stories) #poetry #poetryisart #poetrycommunityofinstagram by @simonjayness
