Production Xx, that are Julie Botet, Simon Le Borgne, Max Gomard, Philomene Jander, Zoe Lakhnati, Ulysse Zangs and Dora Pentchev, are part of this year’s [8:tension] Young Choreographers’ Series! @impulstanz_festival and Life Long Burning teamed up and invited 11 artists to show a work and to spend a two weeks residency in Vienna.

Some days ago we met @juliebotet @_gumgumm_ @simonleborgne @zoelakhnati @philoooooooooooooooooooooo @ulyssezangs & @dorapentchev for a talk about their work Gush is Great and their time spent at ImPulsTanz – another episode of season 3 of the [8:tension] P odcast, which will be released this autumn!

La rencontre entre deux virtuoses, l’un batteur, l’autre danseur. Une danse intense, urgente, libre.

→ Sur scène, le chorégraphe-danseur se confronte à des formes rigides, symboles des carcans sociaux et identitaires, qu’il déconstruit peu à peu pour révéler un corps en perpétuelle métamorphose.

The meeting of two virtuosos — one a drummer, the other a dancer. An intense, urgent, and free dance.

→ On stage, Le Borgne breaks free from rigid forms, while Zangs’ live soundscape - drums, synth, electric guitar - mirrors the dance’s evolution. Their connection drives a cyclical journey where each fall sparks rebirth.

#AerowavesIntroduces: #AerowavesArtists Production Xx: Julie Botet, Simon Le Borgne, Max Gomard, Philomène Jander, Zoé Lakhnati & Ulysse Zangs with ‘GUSH IS GREAT’ which they will present at #SpringForward25 in Gorizia/Nova Gorica in April.

In 2023, the second edition of De l'impertinence, an artistic and cultural laboratory in Sète (France), brought together artists from different backgrounds, from the Paris Opera Ballet to Conservatoires Supérieurs de Danse in France, contemporary dance schools such as P.A.R.T.S and the Roubaix CCN, to training programmes like CobosMika’s Seeds (Palamòs, Catalonia) and Coline in Istres (France). These artists do not define themselves as a collective but rather form an ecosystem, where some participate in each other's projects while also creating a space for support, collaboration, and creativity.
