✨𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓✨

Once upon a time, there was a person who swore they hated dancing but here he is…

…being coached by the GOAT of the scene amongst 100 of 1000+ of incredible dancers, and being a certified instructor of the style that he loves dearly. If you had told that person he'd be in this room — He'd have told you to go get your head examined, because that's not happening even if the cosmos unravels entirely!🌎🌎

🏆 My Bachata Influence Week Recap

The mere thought of dancing used to trigger panic; seeing myself move was like a public meltdown. Reluctantly pulled into a class at @bachata.exchange nge, my internal 'self-judgment police' had me under arrest—my heart hammered, hands sweated, and stepping onto the floor felt like falling off a cliff.

Long story short, magic began unnoticed. Various inspirational demos from @BE and the mastery of @melvin_gatica_bachata fuelled an obsession. I self-learned the hip/head roll in under a month and executed it with Gatica herself last year! Not only that, the style's fascination drove me to apply for the 2nd Influence Academy, but two weeks before, a severe bike injury threatened to derail everything. 🦿🦵I refused to surrender to pain or FOMO, taping my knee and relying on sheer resilience to continue traveling and absorb the knowledge.

💥The Transformation

Stepping into the Academy, injured knee and all, was stepping into a new reality. M&G broke down the "magic" into **magical principles**: exquisite softness, powerful connection, and philosophical storytelling. It reinforced that Influence is not just about the moves, its about connecting deeper with yourself, the music, and your partner—the very reason we love dancing!

All in all, the energy from the incredible talent congregated here was pure inspiration. Every dance, filmed or not, created an unforgettable memory. I am genuinely grateful to have met so many amazing dancers and humans in the academy. Thank you for the dances and the experiences we shared together.

The fear is still there but, I am more excited to bring these back to London and further develop on the style! Thank you M&G🙏, the journey continues!🛣🚀 taken in Kraków, Poland by @simonliftslife

Imagine if Sam Smith was sitting in the front row watching this dance... 🥹✨

Flashback to our first workshop edition. When the music is this powerful, the technique has to be completely effortless so the raw emotion can take over.

Grateful for the energy and focus everyone brought to this session! ⭕️

Influenced...🥵

Hosting my first-ever independent Bachata Influence workshop—and the room was pure magic.⭕️✨

Immensely grateful for everyone who showed up to lab with me. We took a deep dive into the technique—breaking down micro-connections and body mechanics that usually feel abstract—and it was amazing watching the room completely grasp the concepts and transform their movement.

Thank you to Isabel for assisting me and crushing her very first demo right after wrapping up her Influence Academy training! 👏

Stay tuned for the next edition!
