Our first round in Poland started with setbacks but ended with confidence. 🤗👇

Honestly, that weekend had every emotion possible: excitement, nerves, expectations, setbacks, happiness and pride. 👀

The first shock came during technical inspection. We were told that the original fuel tank in Simon’s car did not meet FIA requirements and that we might not be allowed to compete. We had asked about it before the event, but never received an answer.

Thankfully, the organisers were very understanding and helped us find a solution. We received special permission to compete in this round with the original tank. 💛

Because of the technical situation, we had very little practice time and only managed a few laps before qualifying. Despite that, Simon scored 93.5 points on his first run, briefly putting us at the top of the qualifying standings. 🙌

On the second run, he tried to improve the result, but a small mistake on entry affected the rest of the line. Even so, we finished qualifying in 5th place. 🤩

We won our first tandem battle and secured a place in the TOP 16, where we faced one of Greece’s strongest drivers. Simon delivered a very strong lead run, but a small mistake during the chase cost us the chance to progress.

Does it still sting a little? Yes.

Are we disappointed? Definitely not.

This weekend showed us that we can compete alongside some of Europe’s strongest drivers and that we are heading in the right direction. 👏

And we did it all in temperatures close to 40°C, with the heat inside the car reaching approximately 80–90°C. 🫠

The fuel tank has now been replaced, the final adjustments are done, and we’re already on our way back to Poland for our second round in Katowice this weekend! 🇵🇱

Thank you to everyone who supported us. This is only the beginning. 🫶

Chicago Drift in Finland really put us to the test! 🇫🇮

The season opener turned into a complete emotional rollercoaster. During the week, we went through no less than THREE gearboxes and experienced everything from a fairytale-style city parade to midnight repairs under the car. 🧑🏻‍🔧

Things got so serious that even Simon swapped his racing suit for regular clothes and, together with Andero, spent a long night under the car just to make it back to the start line the next morning.

Qualifying in 25th place meant extra tandem battles, where we managed to fight our way into the TOP 4. Along the way, we survived a heavy collision that destroyed the rear control arm, hub, and front strut tower. 🫣

In the TOP 32 main competition, we faced Latvian driver Mārtiņš Immermanis. We delivered our best chase run of the entire day, but during the lead run, third gear decided to leave us for good.

Despite all the technical issues, we finished 4th in the qualification tandems and 27th overall in the main event - leaving Finland with a lot more experience and a much smarter approach for the next round. 💪
