POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

New week, new day, new possibilities.

June 28 marked 1 year we’ve been in our new home and we’ve upgraded a number of areas from the builder grade finishes. I’m very happy with our progress. We hired out most services to get it done and enjoy our home. There is one more change I would like to make in this area which I’m hoping Hubby will sign off on 🥰. I’m so happy with how everything is turning out - but I’m still waiting on a part for the hood.

How is your summer going thus far?

Friends - Hubby has done it again with my help of course ☺️. I’ve shared in stories. We did something this past weekend 🖤. I wanted a dark and moody vibe in our bedroom but still have a light and airy feel. I think we achieved just that with this very simple accent wall that adds an added layer of dimension to our space. We still get plenty of sunlight with our windows so it’s not dark and dreary. Again I used my favorite charcoal paint color which gives the illusion that it’s black but it is not. I’m talking about the one and only Sherwin Williams Iron Ore. BTW, this pic is a true representation of our bedroom with bed made - no added props for IG. Our nightstands are in their true form. #reallifephoto
⠀
This is our third wall we’ve done in our home using board and batten. Each time we get better and learn something new. Last year we invested in quality tools - like our table saw. It has paid for itself with the projects we’ve done. Good investment.
⠀
So now naturally I’m looking to maybe change out our lamps and update our bedding for spring.

Adding fall stems and florals little by little. By Labor Day I will have transitioned out all summer stems and florals. I know I may be late to the game.

We upgraded our patio enclosure with Eze-Breeze Windows.

Eze-Breeze 4-track windows are custom-built, vertical sliding window systems for patio, porches and sunrooms that feature four vinyl panels that telescope behind each other on individual tracks. They provide versatile ventilation, allowing you to open up to 75% of the window space for airflow by sliding the panels. The lightweight, durable 10-mil memory vinyl panels offer protection from weather and UV rays and can be easily tilted in and removed for cleaning or for a completely screened-in space in warmer months.

We are now able to use our patio all four seasons. No more worrying about rain, wind, snow or pollen. Of course, if it’s extremely cold we can use a portable patio heater if we choose to.

We are very happy with the upgrade.

Thanks to @screenmobilecharlotte for installing. They did our original enclosure as well and this upgrade was simple and easy to convert.

We recently had our garage floor redone. Justin and his crew did an outstanding job. We are very happy customers. If you are in the Charlotte area and need garage flooring - I highly recommend @granitegaragefloorscharlotte . taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @simplisticallymarnette

It’s been a great Sunday … partly cloudy 🌤️ with temps in the high 70s all day … much needed break from the heat. How’s the weather in your area?
