Projects on projects (in no particular order)
1. Laying a planipatch mixture to level as much as possible before laying down vinyl flooring. The bus floor was VERY uneven due to tracks in the floors and the curves towards the walls. Like, VERY uneven. 😅
2. Removing previous bus flooring - it came up relatively “easy” but was a gross sticky mess so I did it in sections to save my sanity.
3. Used an angle grinder to cut a few repurposed metal rods to fill the gaps in the tracks (seriously, those tracks were rough to deal with). Then poured some resin to try to fill the remaining space. Unfortunately, the ground wasn’t completely level and there were some holes that went through the frame so a lot left its intended resting place. At least it exposed where some hidden gaps were? 🙃
4. Celebrating after laying the vinyl flooring down. Was too drained/lowkey stressed to take a video of laying the flooring down. Got it down, took this video, and immediately moved on to the next to-do.
5. Glued down boards after what felt like ages of mapping out and puzzle piecing them together. Grateful a worker at a local hardware shop was able to help by cutting most of the boards to the size I needed. I didn’t have a saw that would have worked with that long of cuts so YAY teamwork.
6. The bus has a LOT of windows. I thought I’d love the light and connection to the outside world.. but real talk, I wouldn’t buy a conversion vehicle with so many windows again. Everything is temperature sensitive and I’d rather have insulation and privacy. Right when I got it I spent hours putting decorative privacy film on all of them. Which I LOVED - but now that it’s summer.. I’ve redone them and “upgraded” to some self-adhesive black out insulation. It’s helped a lot with heat, privacy, and sound. 🖤

There’s always more. But that’s all for now.
If you made it this far - thanks for celebrating this journey with me! 🚐🛠️ by @simply_whimsical

Sacred Silly 🤪

The highlight from this festival with one of my dearest friends was in this little tunnel. The music here was (strangely) way better than the stage sets. We stayed in this area for what felt like hours (and very well may have been). We ended up crying (like ugly happiness tears) out of pure joy. Giggling cathartically and so on the same wavelength it felt like we were one and the same. One of the most tangible times in my adult life I’ve felt such strong unfettered JOY. 🥹🥰

Forever grateful to get to experience all of the human emotions in this human experience. Cheers to good friends, music, and sacred silliness! 👯‍♀️ by @simply_whimsical

Some Katanas are used honorably by Samurai warriors while other Katanas have two wheels and are used by hooligans.

Electrical has been one of my more intimidating challenges when it comes to remodeling a bus (but we can do hard things!) 🚐 PROTIPS from a non-pro, non-electrician:

1. Make sure everything is OFF (seriously, unplug, double check)
2. Is there a fuse box? Go disconnect the fuses of whatever areas you’re working on. DO IT.
3. Do NOT cut more than one wire at the same time. Don’t get me wrong.. I have. But it’s not recommended. ⚡️

Love you all. Stay alive and please hire an actual electrician before you get too crazy with all things electric. 🔌🤪 by @simply_whimsical
