Her name is Iyanu ( miracle) but she tells people she is Anu(mercy) both have been evident in her life. Her story is one when I remember I cry.
Did I mention she is my twin.. lol. She was born 1st June and I was born 2nd June same year. Before someone comes to attack me, I totally agree she is older and I can’t buy 1 day from the market.

Iyanu loves me so much and I do love her too. I remember when I go home from school during holidays, she practically follows me around the house and would want to assist me with the chores.

She wakes up to sweep the sitting room almost everyday in her little way.

Thanks to an amazing family that I have , my mum and aunties who took up her responsibilities since we lost her mum about 2 decades ago.

Shey you see that my Aunty in the video she is the sweetest Aunty on earth. She practically trained us. God bless her real good. She made sure we create time to visit her often.

Thanks to my amazing husband @michael_edoboy who never hesitated when I request he follows to visit her.

Happy belated birthday my sweet cousin , Eyes has not seen neither has ear heard what God has in store for you.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
—Proverbs 3:5-6

Thoughts on Today’s Verse...

When things are tough, I call on the Lord and lean on his mercy and grace. Deep in my heart, however, I fear I may have made him into my rip-cord Savior — the one I go to only in times of trouble. When I’m reveling in my blessings and things are going well, I am much like the Israelites. I forget to acknowledge that all my blessings and opportunities have come because of the Lord’s grace. In my joy and success, I must learn to acknowledge him and not rely on my own wisdom and strength. The wisdom of Proverbs challenges me to honor God and acknowledge him “in all my ways,” not just call on him in hard times. I must trust in the Lord and acknowledge my need for him in the good and the bad times, the easy and the challenging circumstances. I invite you to join me in committing to trust the Lord and acknowledge him “in all your ways”.
My Prayer...

Gracious Father, every good thing I have in my life has come because of you. The family I am blessed with, the protection I have received, the values that I hold, the successes I have enjoyed, the hope I have, the salvation I have received, and the future I anticipate are all mine because of your grace and not my goodness or wisdom. I need you, I trust you, and I acknowledge you as my God in all of my ways. In the name of Jesus, I thank you for being my Lord. Amen.

ingredients
3 very ripe bananas (about 200g peeled)
150 g butter, softened or melted and cooled or 120g or 1/2 cup of oil
200 g granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons evaporated milk
Dry ingredients
250 g all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional, for that familiar Nigerian bakery flavour)

Mash the banana, mixed wet and dry ingredients together.
Bake at 325F for 30-45 min or till when tooth pick comes out dry .
Note: you can reduce the sugar by 30%,
Replace evaporated milk with regular milk,
Time in oven depends on the quantity and size of pan ..

Gracias 🙏

WHEN YOUR HEART IS TIRED, GOD CAN STILL GIVE YOU PEACE. 🕊️

There are moments when your mind is overwhelmed, your heart is heavy, and you have more questions than answers. You may smile on the outside while quietly fighting battles no one else can see.

But remember this: you were never meant to carry everything on your own.

God sees the tears you don’t talk about. He knows the fears you keep hidden. And even when you cannot see a way forward, He is still with you.

You don’t need to have everything figured out to have peace. You simply need to trust the One who holds everything in His hands.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” — Isaiah 26:3

Jesus reminds us: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” — John 14:27

So today, take a deep breath. Release what you cannot control. Give God the worries that have been keeping you awake, and let His presence calm your heart.

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7

Your circumstances may not change overnight, but God’s presence can change how you walk through them.

You are not alone.
You are not forgotten.
You are held by God. 🤍🕊️

If you’re in a season where everything feels uncertain, remember this: God has not forgotten you. ❤️

What you see today is not the end of your story. Even when you cannot see a way forward, God is already working behind the scenes. Keep trusting Him. Keep praying. Keep believing.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
— Jeremiah 29:11

The God who carried you through yesterday will carry you through today and lead you into tomorrow. 🌿

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
— Psalm 30:5

Your waiting is not wasted. Your tears are not unnoticed. Your prayers are not unheard.

Hold on. Keep your faith. God is still writing your story. 🙏🏽❤️

“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”
— Psalm 31:24

God doesn’t disappoint me. He has never failed, and He never will. ❤️

Even when I don’t understand what He is doing, I choose to trust who He is. His timing is perfect, His promises are sure, and His faithfulness never runs out.

What God has said concerning me, He will bring to pass. 🙏🏽✨

“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?” — Numbers 23:19 (KJV)

My testimony is simple: God has never failed!
And I know He won’t start now. 🥹❤️

You are the One I call my Love. ❤️
You are the reason I’m still standing here.

Through every storm, every uncertainty, and every season, You have remained faithful. When I didn’t know how I would make it through, You carried me.

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” — Psalm 27:13 (NKJV)

Jehovah, my heart belongs to You.
You are my strength, my refuge, and my everything.
If I’m standing today, it is only because of You. 🙏🏽❤️

Thank You, Jehovah.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but God will do it. 🙏🏽❤️

A few days ago, I was overwhelmed, anxious, and confused. I had so much on my mind and didn’t know how to figure it all out.

While doing the dishes, I decided to talk to God. I prayed, cried, and reminded myself of His promises. Before I knew it, I felt lighter and had clarity.

I realized I was worrying about things I couldn’t control when God was right there, waiting for me to call on Him.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

If you’re feeling overwhelmed today, go to God. Talk to Him. Cry to Him. Tell Him everything. You don’t need perfect words—just call on Him.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

Give it to God. Trust Him. Pray about it. Leave it in His hands.

You may not know how it will work out, but God does. Keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep believing. 🙏🏽🤍

God will do it. ✨

Rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.
—Joel 2:23

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

"The prayers go up, and the blessings come down..." The words to this children's song are only half right, because God sends his blessings many times even when we don't pray. But just as we love the special smell that comes with a drought-breaking rain, God loves the aroma of his children's joy, especially when he is the source of their delight! So, dear friends, let’s find reasons to rejoice with the seasons changing to autumn (Northern Hemisphere) and spring (Southern Hemisphere). As the apostle Paul told the Philippians:
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near (Philippians 4:4-5).
My Prayer...

Holy God and tender Father, you are our great delight. In the changing of our seasons, you remain our dependable, faithful, and loving God. You are our rock and fortress; you are our tender shepherd; and you are our solid mountain that cannot be shaken or moved. Your blessings and grace shower down upon us and fill us with joy. We can’t wait for the day we get to see you face to face and delight in your presence forever. Until then, O Lord, we will rejoice in anticipation as you shower us with your blessings. In Jesus’ glorious name, we pray. Amen

Live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.
—1 Peter 3:8

Thoughts on Today’s Verse...

Unity and harmony are no accident! They happen because of intention and submission. More than just states of being we find along life’s way, they are commanded by God. We are to pursue them! How do we have unity and harmony? Peter reminds us we must have three commitments in our “family of faith” lifestyle:
We actively share our sorrows, losses, and concerns
We love and value each other as family.
We show compassion and humility with each other.
Rather than acting superior to others as they deal with their failures and loss, we are sympathetic, loving, compassionate, and humble. We recognize that we are vulnerable to the same problems, hurts, wounds, and temptations as our brothers and sisters who need us, and whom we need to be fully JESUShaped disciples!
My Prayer...

Father, I confess that I have let my oversensitive self be wounded and reacted with pettiness when my brothers and sisters in Christ have not treated me as I felt I deserved. I know Jesus was treated so rudely and shamefully by those he created and came to save. I know I shouldn’t be surprised when things don’t always go well for me. So, dear Father, please help me to know when to challenge those who wound me with a loving “carefrontation” and when to ignore the barb and find a way to minister to them because of some deeper wound that crippled them in their past. Father, let me be an instrument of your peace, harmony, grace, love, compassion, and unity. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
—John 14:23

Thoughts on Today’s Verse...

At many Christian funerals and memorials, the preacher emphasizes that Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us to join him in heaven, but will one day come back for us and bring us home with him (John 14:1-3). Just a few verses later, the Lord deepens his promise. He promises that if we love him and obey him, he will love us and reveal himself to us (John 14:21). On top of that, he and the Father will love us and make their home in us until we can go home to be with them (John 14:23). As we love God and obey Jesus’ commandments, our relationship, closeness, and experience of God’s presence as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, deepens because they live inside us — make their home with us. Obeying Jesus’ teaching is our pathway to a closer walk with God!

My Prayer...

Holy God, I know Jesus came to earth and obeyed your will. Please bless me with the discernment I need to fully obey you. I desire that my obedience will not just be the strict obedience of your words, but a deep longing to live according to your will. I long to honor you because you have done so much to save me. Thank you. In Jesus’ name I thank and praise you. Amen
