Quick & Easy Gift 🌿

A little something for the neighbors 🍂🫒

Because a bottle of wine is lovely… but a bottle of good olive oil? Everyone can use that. 🤎

Such an easy gift — olive oil, a little basil, pretty ribbon, and a simple tag. Thoughtful without being complicated (my favorite kind of gift).

Saving this one for hostess gifts too. ✨

You’ll need:
🌿 Kitchen herb plant
🫒 Bottle of olive oil
🤍 Tissue paper
🧵 Twine
🎀 Ribbon

My current fall obsession 🍎✨

Sparkling Apple Cider:

🍎 4 oz apple cider
✨ Top with regular or zero-sugar ginger ale
🤍 Add whipped cream
🍯 Finish with a drizzle of caramel

Add cinnamon for a little extra fall—or a splash of spiced bourbon for the adults! 🥃

Would you make yours cozy or boozy? 🤣

For the past 6 years, we’ve had an annual outdoor movie night tradition, and every year I love making it feel a little extra magical. ✨🎬

This year’s theme? Haunted Mansion. 👻💀

The skeletons were ready, the graveyard was glowing, the cozy seating was set, and everything was coming together beautifully…

Then Mother Nature decided to join the party with wind gusts up to 30 mph.🌪️😳

First, a tombstone blew into the pool. Fished it out. Back to the movie. 🍿

Then, Skelly AND his light-up candelabra went for a swim. Fished him, his candelabra, and all 5 candles out. Back to the movie. 💀🌊

And then the nail in the coffin, with about 30 minutes left, the wind delivered its grand finale: our movie screen went down for the count. Even FOUR concrete pavers weren’t enough to save it. 💀

AND we finished the movie inside. 😂

Six years of movie nights, and we’ve NEVER had one quite like this!

Not exactly the magical ending I planned… but definitely one we’ll remember. 🖤

52° and officially snuggle weather! 🍂

After a crazy day of football (War Eagle! 🦅🏈), there’s nothing better than winding down with a fall movie, a cozy fire, and some furry snuggles. 🔥🐾🤎

I gave myself a little October challenge: wear a different fall or Halloween shirt every single day this month! 🎃🍂

16 days down, 15 to go… WHOA, we’re halfway there! 🎸🤣

Will I actually make it all 31 days without repeating? 👻✨

AND do Halloween Costumes count? 🤔

The things I apparently consider normal book club prep. 😂📚

Making wedding invitations for fictional people. Dipping a place card in fake blood. Packing moss and ferns. Loading a full-size skeleton into my car. Bringing an antique cake server because it looked just suspicious enough.

And then casually walking into dinner like this was all perfectly reasonable. 💀💍

A little behind the scenes from our The Guest List book club night — because apparently reading the book was only step one.

Apparently when your book club pick is set at a wedding on a remote Irish island, you have no choice but to attend the wedding. 💍📚

So for The Guest List by @lucyfoleyauthor we went all in on the wedding weekend — invitations, place cards, moss, candlelight, a suspiciously placed cake server… and one guest who may not have made it to the reception. 💀😂

@oldeblinddog was basically made for this one. The dark wood, cozy pub atmosphere and Irish setting were the perfect backdrop AND the staff and service were absolutely wonderful. ❤️

And yes, our deceased wedding guest came to dinner. He had a lovely time. 😂

September book club: officially in the books. ❤️📚

A little brainstorming session for book club calls for drinks! Two adult variations on our Sparkling Apple Cider.

🍎🥂 Apple Cider Mimosa

• 3 oz chilled apple cider
• 3 oz chilled Brut Prosecco
• Caramel + ground cinnamon for the rim
• Thin apple slice for garnish

Dip the rim in caramel, then cinnamon. Add cider, slowly top with Prosecco, and garnish with an apple slice. No ice needed!

🍎🥃 Caramel Spiced Rum Cider

• 3 oz apple cider
• 3 oz ginger ale or ginger ale zero
• 1½ oz spiced rum (or bourbon)
• Ice
• Whipped cream + caramel drizzle
• Cinnamon stick for garnish

Fill a lowball with ice. Add cider and rum, then top with ginger ale. Finish with whipped cream, a caramel drizzle, and a cinnamon stick.

Cheers to our book club guest of honor! 🥂💀

The front yard crew has arrived ☠️👻

Skellys, swinging ghosts, and pups in tow—Halloween has officially made its way into the yard. 🎃

They told me to sit this one out… so I did. 💀🎃

The easiest way to transition fall porch decor into Halloween? Add a few skellys, rearrange the pumpkins and let the crew handle the rest.

Now they’re just waiting for their friends to arrive in the front yard… 💀
