I love being able to look at a space and imagine what it could be.

This back entrance became an overwhelming catchall. Things naturally landed here when everyone came through the door, but there wasn’t enough storage to put everything away.

We added cabinets and drawers to give those everyday things a home, and a countertop for an easy drop zone. Then came the fun part- bringing in the wallpaper (same one from my last project 😜), wood shelf, lighting, and finishing touches.

Now this little area has a purpose, it’s easier to maintain, and feels like a finished part of the house. by @simplyneathome

One of my favorite parts of what I do is seeing a vision I have come to life.

This closet had plenty of potential, but it just wasn’t functioning the way it needed to. It felt crammed, the space wasn’t being fully utilized, and without dedicated zones for everything, it naturally became a catch all.

The existing rods were positioned too close to the doorframe, which made the closet feel even tighter. By adjusting the layout, adding a second hanging rod below the top one, and incorporating shelving for folded clothing, we were able to make much better use of the vertical space. We also added baskets below the shelves to create even more easy to access storage.

Now everything has a place, and the closet feels calmer, more functional, and like it’s finally working with the space instead of against it. by @simplyneathome

A smoother school year can start with a little prep now. Create systems for the everyday things, put a few routines in place, and make busy mornings a little easier on yourself.

Make sure everyone at home knows the system and is on the same page. Simple systems work best when everyone knows where things belong, which makes them much easier to maintain.

Give backpacks, shoes, lunch boxes and papers one consistent home.

Create one spot for papers that need attention and another for anything you want to keep.

Group frequently used items together so there’s less searching when you’re trying to get out the door.

One thing I hear from clients all the time is, “I don’t even know where to start.”

Whether it’s an overwhelming move, an unorganized space, or a closet that isn’t functioning the way it should, my goal is always the same: to make the process feel manageable and take the guesswork off my clients’ plates.

While much of what I do with Simply Neat is organizing, decluttering, and managing moves, I also love helping clients create custom storage spaces and solutions like closets, mudrooms, pantries, and laundry rooms.

For this coat closet, I evaluated the space, designed the layout, and coordinated the project from the initial concept through the final installation.

Bill from BG Handyman handled the installation, and his attention to detail helped bring this project to life. Having trusted professionals I can confidently work alongside is a huge part of making projects like this run smoothly.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to help clients create spaces that function better without having to manage all of the moving pieces themselves. by @simplyneathome

One of my favorite parts of this job is helping clients create solutions that fit their homes and routines.

This closet started as an empty, underutilized space and was transformed into a custom coat closet and storage system designed specifically for this client’s needs.
