I wasn't ready for all the fun I had this weekend as a Cop and Dolly Parton. This was definitely the first Halloween where the kids had their own agenda. Thanks @tameeka08 for letting me tag along with @silver_peach to celebrate and welcome your entry to the 5th floor in style (c'mon Pastor Troy duet). by @simplysaquilla

So thankful for all of the laughter, texts, well wishes, and special moments that into making this birthday special. From goat yoga, mid-week celebrations, brunches, and all the in-betweens...Your girl is appreciative. 🥳🙏🏽🎉🥳 by @simplysaquilla

And just like that, we’ve got a teenager! Happy 13th birthday to my baby boy, who still navigates the world from full-throttled energy. Lord knows how much I hate your phone obsession... I mean like abhor to the point of really wanting to throw it in the trash...but what most people don't know about you is how quickly you will put away your phone, maybe not so much for me, just so that you can rush to chop it up with and give to strangers on the street. It's that deeply empathetic side of how you see people and the world that is rarely known. I’m praying you’ll keep embracing the amazing gifts God has given you and grow in the direction and discernment needed for your bright future. #happybirthday #13 #blackboy #blackboyjoy by @simplysaquilla

A good time was had at the Atlanta Jazz Festival. Even the rain didn't keep folks away from this staple event that's scheduled every Memorial Day weekend. We braved the elements with the tent in tow and experienced all the joy the day had to offer! Love us!! #jazzfestival #spelhouse #getoutside by @simplysaquilla

Happy Founders' Day from my mini and me! by @simplysaquilla

They say Virginia is for lovers, but I am so thankful for all of the love and fond memories from family and friends. You can take the girl out of Suffolk, but you can't take the Suffolk out of the girl.

My heart is filled with gratitude for the mini reunions with my dad's side of the family and my high school classmates, including 2 that I haven't seen in 32 years.

I still don't know how Justin can recall us skipping out on a calculus test for McDonalds, not because we couldn't handle it, but rather because we weren't prepared...yet we still graduated at the top of our class and I would say that we are well-adjusted adults. by @simplysaquilla
