Here to wrap up our simply spotlights is the amazing Soprano 2, Malia! 🩷⭐️

“Hi I’m Malia! I came to Chapman from Texas in 2023 and have been in Simply ever since. I sing Soprano 2, and some of my favorite songs from our past rep are Not Strong Enough, What It Sounds Like, Shake It Out, and Perfect Celebrity. Every Simply memory is my favorite, especially ICCA quarter and semifinals last semester. 🩷”

Malia auditioned with “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac, but specifically the Glee version! 🎉💗 by @simplyvocale

Everyone meet one of our amazing Soprano 1’s, Melody! 🎶

“Hi hi! My name is Melody and I’m from OC California. I’m a soprano 1 and this is my fourth and final year in Simply :’) I have made the absolute best memories being in Simply, a few highlights being our San Diego trips throughout the years, singing in the stairwell delirious at midnight, recording our music, and of course competing in ICCA each year. A special shoutout to this past ICCA season where we made it to semi finals and got to travel to NorCal! My top 3 songs we’ve done in Simply are Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo, Not Strong Enough by boygenius, and a mashup of I Want You by Mitski and Michelle by Sir Chloe. Simply has been my favorite thing I have done in college and I can’t wait to make more memories with my shrimps this year!!!”

Melody auditioned with “No Such Thing” by Sara Bareilles! 💗 by @simplyvocale

Say hello to our pretty cool VP, Abby! 🩷

“Hey there! My name is Abby McCoy, I’m a Junior this year, and I’m going into my 3rd year in Simply Vocale! Truly, one of the best decisions I made was going in to A Cappella auditions. Being open and willing to try new things, doing VP for the group and practicing classical singing in my day has expanded my skillset more than I could imagine! Originally, I am from Boulder Colorado (SKO’ BUFFS💛) ! My favorite memory from Simply so far has been all the team hangouts! I found my roommates and some of my closest friends through beach bonfires, songwriting, getting coffee, and seeing them during rehearsals. I can’t wait to see what this year brings :) “

Abby sung and beatboxed to Micheal Bublé’s version of “Sway” her freshman year! 💃❤️ by @simplyvocale

Everyone say hi to our wonderful Alto 1, Izzy! 💗

“Hi y’all! I’m Izzy from Seattle, WA and I’m an Alto 1! My favorite song we’ve done in Simply is Perfect Celebrity by Lady Gaga in our ICCA this last year because it was SO diva. My favorite memory was Simply Game Night at my apartment where we played Monsters Seeking Monsters — I love hosting and this group of people is genuinely so funny any time we hang out it’s a blast :)”

Say hey to this fabulous Alto 2, Tori!

“Hi I’m Tori Bollar 💕I’m from the great state of New Jersey and in Simply I sing Alto 2. My favorite song we’ve performed in Simply would definitely be our rendition of First Light by Hozier, the arrangement is just so ethereally gorgeous. My favorite simply memory would probably be any of our socials we do throughout the year! Simply are some of my favorite people in the world and I always have a great time when we’re together!”
