This degree is so much bigger than myself and is dedicated to my grandmothers. This is an answer to my grandmothers’ prayers.

2 widows took a chance and sent their children to the United States for the chance of a better life. They sacrificed so much for their family along the way.

Thanks to their courage and upmost faith in God, I am able to achieve my wildest dreams. If only they could be here in person to see the fruits of their labor.

To my wonderful parents, I can’t thank you enough for all the sacrifices you have made to support me in all of my endeavors. You guys always found a way to make it happen, no matter what. Your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed.❤️

On May 12th, I accomplished a long time goal of mine and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

My last year of law school could be described as a year of reflection. Various life events have caused me to take a step back and reflect on my journey throughout the years. It’s been a journey full of sacrifice, long nights, and plenty of tears, but looking back I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s also been a journey full of beautiful memories, laughter, new friends, and new experiences. All of which, couldn’t have been done without the love and support of my amazing friends and family who showed up and showed out each and every time.

To My Dear Grandma and Best Friend,
Thank you for the countless memories, laughs, and unconditional love. You were always one of my biggest supporters. I’ll miss our lunch dates, long talks, and inside jokes. Your memory lives within us forever. Heaven gained a new angel today. I know you’re watching over us. May you Rest In Peace.
