Day 30 of learning my Sikh history using @simran.app Sikhi teaches us from young that there is as much strength in a Kaur that there is in a Singh we are equals .

A religion where women are respected and treated the same as men .

A religion where women fought and sacrificed for the Sikhi we have been given today .

There is so much power in being a Sikh woman and when I feel weak I remember the powerful women in Sikhi we stem from them .

Be proud of your roots and where you’re from .

A little reminder to make more time for Sikhi… I’ve been using this app to keep my Nitnem, Gurbani, Hukamnama and Simran all in one place, and it’s honestly so convenient having everything on my phone📱

Did you know Zafarnama is on the Simran app — with the English translation too? 🤍

And it doesn’t stop there… Dasam Granth, Chandi di Var, and so many other Banis and Sikh texts are available to explore.

Sometimes it’s nice to just slow down, read, and learn a little more about our Sikhi. 🙏🏽

Have you explored the Bani section on Simran yet?

This one is to all the men listening. If you have done any of these or know of someone who has done these. Please let’s stop that today. Let’s take a step forward to respect the one from whom kings are born. From whom life starts.

Respecting a woman or a fellow human being should be a basic requirement. Let’s try implementing that 🩵
