The Woods & Waterfall (Miles 1–3): The first few miles are a relatively gentle, winding climb through lodgepole pines and granite boulders. At roughly the 2.5-mile mark, you'll pass the Galena Creek Falls, a perfect spot to take a quick breather and check out the water cascading over the rock face.
2. The Meadow Switchbacks (Miles 3–4): After the waterfall, the trail opens up into a sweeping alpine meadow filled with mule's ears and lupine. The incline begins to pick up here as you approach the ridge line.
3. The Final Push (Mile 4 to Summit): Once you hit the ridge, the terrain transitions into exposed, rugged volcanic rock and loose scree. The wind usually kicks up significantly here. The switchbacks get tight and steep, but once you clear the final crest, you're rewarded with a 360-degree vista. by @simssummit
