This is three small animations from my last project on an automated pipetting robot. (Based on the design of the real Liquid Handling System). Yesterday I publish a more "product animation" oriented video but during the end of the shaders and lighting phase, I had the idea of playing with hard contrasts with an almost black and white look. This is the result of these experiments. More to come during this week ! by @simulacre.studio

One of my last case studies features an automated pipeting robot. It's mainly inspired by the Liquid Handling System available for laboratories around the world.  I made those few shots to showcase the design and esthetism of the robot, but I will maybe make some others shots to showcase his capacities with a few simulations and fluids takes is the weeks to come ! by @simulacre.studio

This is how a lung biopsy is usually explained to a patient. A 2D diagram. A textbook illustration. Sometimes nothing at all. And this is what we built instead — the same procedure, seen from the inside. The needle path, the lung tissue, the imaging guidance. In 3D. In 30 seconds. Clearer for the patient who needs to give informed consent. More useful for the team that needs to prepare. Reusable on the website, in a training module, at a conference. Do you know how liposome drug delivery works ? Liposomes are nanoscale carriers built from a lipid bilayer, the same structure as your cell membranes. They're designed to carry a drug payload through the bloodstream and deliver it directly to a tumor. The mechanism relies on something called the EPR effect. Tumor vessels grow fast and sloppy, leaving gaps large enough for liposomes to slip through. Once inside the tumor environment, they release their payload where it's needed. The catch: only a small fraction actually reaches the tumor. The rest keeps circulating. Which is exactly why drug delivery research is still one of the most active fields in oncology.
