hello everyone <3

this is a pretty easy @touchdesigner network that creates motion echo effect from the video input.

this video is going through the file which you can download for free from my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/theswansarenotwhattheyseem/posts/motion-echo-very-170492307

the background sound is generated by my INFINITE VOID tool that you can try here
https://infinite-voidsong.vercel.app/

let me know what you think of this tutorial!

Love,
Sinaida

NEW NETWORK OVERVIEW TUTORIAL 💜✨

A few days ago the song Purple Rain by Prince popped up in my playlist. I got way too nostalgic and thought that the energy should be transformed into creating a rain network in @touchdesigner - so here it is.

It is far from perfect - if you have better ideas how to achieve the realistic raindrops, I’d love to learn that!

Anyway, the idea here is to combine the drops, the thunderstorm, and the view:

The raindrops are spheres that move along the line grid

The lightning bolt is based on a geometry path that uses some custom code

The view is one of the example files from TouchDesigner

There are (way too many) comps and displaces in the network.

Network overview: https://youtu.be/hwFttiCKbrU
The link is also available from TOUCH highlights.

You are welcome to use the file for making cozy rainy moods to drink your pumpkin spice lattes this spooky season. I would love to hear your thought on this network.

And hey, rain is nice - there is no rainbow without the rain 💖

Love,
Sinaida

Astronauts, including @astro_christina from the #Artemis mission, often speak about the Overview Effect: the profound realization that from the vastness of space, our earthly troubles look incredibly small.

Today marks one of the most inspiring days on the calendar.
Exactly 65 years ago, on April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the first human to journey into outer space 🚀✨

It also happens to be day of my alma mater - @bmstu1830 🩵

Why do even need this life if we don’t feel art in person and share the thoughts with others humans? 🪴
