Another magical trip to Cuba lies behind me. A month full of music, love, and deep immersion in a country in crisis.

This year, we often had electricity for only a few hours a day, not always running water, and many dark nights. My phone was stolen by a “nice musician” after a two-hour conversation, when he asked to enter his number.

There were many moments when you could clearly feel that life in Cuba has become even more complicated.
At the same time, you feel the love and solidarity of the people, who often have little left except each other, a breathtaking island, and their music.

I don’t know what it is between Cuba and me, but every time I feel at home. A family that was once hidden from me, yet somehow never unfamiliar.

And the music is any time incredible … this time with Los Van Van, Habana de Primera, Rumba All Stars, Obini Batá, Orquesta Aragón, Los 4 …

Heartfelt thanks to Moncho from @escuelacubaconga for the hospitality and support in everything!!! Gracias mi hermano ♥️
