Closing Day 5 & Certificate Presentation At Care For Her, our mission is to close gender gaps through economic empowerment to improve the health and education of women and girls and over the past few days, we’ve seen that mission come to life.Through this cinematography bootcamp, these young women have gained not just technical skills, but confidence, creativity, and the courage to tell their own stories.This cohort marks the first step towards our goal of training 100 young women. As we awarded certificates, we celebrated more than completion we celebrated growth, resilience, and the beginning of new journeys.To our participants, we are incredibly proud of you.To our partners, facilitators, and mentors, thank you for making this impact possible.This is more than training it’s about building sustainable pathways for economic empowerment, and creating opportunities for women to access better healthcare, education, and brighter futures.The journey continues. Today was all about getting fully hands-on.From setting up cameras to framing shots and working through real-time direction, the room was filled with focus, curiosity, and action. Day 3 Recap : Project Empowerment 2.0 The cameras were no longer just tools they became expressions of creativity and confidence. Led by Ahmed Usman @aqmed02 , the ladies stepped fully into action setting up equipment, designing their shots, assigning roles, and working as a team. The space truly felt like a live film set, with ideas turning into execution and confidence taking the lead.The learning deepened with an insightful production session by Jumoke Azeez @jumoke__azeez , highlighting the power of planning, structure, and collaboration in bringing stories to life.Beyond the skills, these young women are learning to think, create, and lead positioning themselves for real opportunities in the creative industry. Day 2 was where curiosity met confidence.The day began with an electrifying hands-on cinematography session led by Ahmed Usman @aqmed02 on. What started as hesitation quickly turned into excitement as the ladies got behind the camera adjusting lenses, exploring angles, and bringing their first shots to life. You could feel the shift in the room… from “Can I do this?” to “Watch me do this.” Every click of the camera was a bold step into new possibilities.By the afternoon, the energy only grew stronger as Joshie Film Works @iamjoshiefilmworkz took the lead for the videography session. From framing shots to capturing moments, the room was filled with excitement, laughter, and a shared hunger to learn.There was something special about watching them the spark in their eyes, the confidence building with every take, the joy of finally doing.Because this is what it’s about.Not just teaching skills, but creating moments where young women begin to see themselves differently capable, creative, and full of potential.
