BOOKED IT || Final Cut ➡️ set ➡️ self-tape

I don’t usually share my auditions but I wanted to share a clip of my self-tape for this one. There are much more seasoned actors/talent out there than me, much more! This is just a bit of my process for anyone who might be interested. This particular audition came with a full monologue and character description. I used a teleprompter app and stood on a homemade apple box lol. I don’t have a fancy self-tape set up as of right now, but this proves that in this market you don’t necessarily need one in order to book.

I’ll do on average 3-5 takes of a self-tape and submit the best one overall. Quite frankly, I don’t have the time to make a perfect tape! (Do those even exist anyways?!) Here’s the reality, you can spend hours on a tape and hear nothing back or you can spend 3 minutes on one and book the job. So just do your best. If you have good solid energy that will always shine through and most importantly, HAVE FUN!✨

I’ve been focusing mostly on booking commercials because that’s what fits with my family life right now. The shoots are usually only one or two days. However, as my kids grow I would love to get into film as well.

I hope this helps those that might be looking for some tips and that this year brings you the opportunities you may be looking for. Wishing everyone success 💫🤍

Look 4 of Figures Spring Collection “Breaking Out” at @megmundystyle_llc “Style that Serves” Show at the @magrochester

For our 4th look we have @sincerely__dea rocking our “Sailing Away” oversized pants and our “Sailing Away” button up. This look was incredibly fun to make, I took a lot on inspiration from Japanese workwear but wanted to spin it in a way that just took it to another level.
