There are artists — and then there are anointed vessels.
She sang. She ministered. She met people right where they were.
A goddess in her element — voice, spirit, and truth intertwined.
When she sang Lose to Win, every lyric became a prayer,
every note, a reminder that even loss can lead to divine victory.

Sundays have a way of slowing us down—if we let them.

They whisper, you don’t have to rush.
They remind us that rest is not a luxury, it’s holy ground.
And they give us space to remember what matters most:
The people we love, the God we serve, the breath in our lungs, and the peace that comes from being still.

Maybe today is for worship and fellowship.
Maybe it’s for quiet reflection with a cup of tea.
Maybe it’s for laughter around the table with those who know your heart.

Whatever it holds for you, I hope you let Sunday work its quiet magic—
gathering the scattered pieces of your week and knitting them back together in grace.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

Sometimes, the hardest part isn’t feeling something—it’s finding the words for what you’re feeling. 💬💜

That’s why I love this tool: The Wheel of Emotion.

Whether you’re journaling, having a heart-to-heart, or just trying to make sense of a mood, this chart helps you go beyond “I’m fine” or “I’m tired” and actually name the deeper emotions underneath.

This morning, I’m laughing at myself because…
I know I’ll enjoy my walk once I get going, but right now? The bed is feeling so good, it’s overcast outside, and the covers have me in a warm little cocoon.
Am I lazy? No… maybe I’m reluctant. Or content. Or maybe I’m just in a peaceful mood that doesn’t want to be interrupted.

See how that works?
Naming the feeling gives you more clarity, and sometimes, more compassion for yourself.
Save this for the next time you can’t quite find the words. by @sincerely_jolisa

Let the sun shine in… ☀️
Not just on your skin—but on the parts of you that need warmth, presence, and truth.

We talk about it—but we oversimplify it.
We name it—fatigue, burnout, “getting older”—
but we rarely honor the layers beneath it.

The truth is, it’s not just about being tired.
It’s about the weight we’ve carried without complaint.
The decisions we’ve made from empty.
The way we’ve normalized being last on our own list.

And when we finally do pause long enough to notice…
we call it aging,
when it’s often unhealed depletion.
We call it slowing down,
when it’s sometimes finally listening.

This isn’t about bouncing back.
It’s about returning to yourself.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)

Your changing body isn’t betraying you—it’s trying to preserve you.
You were divinely crafted. Still are.

How has your body been whispering to you lately?

This is the kind of sacred conversation I open up in The Sacred Journey.
Because we deserve more than surface-level answers. by @sincerely_jolisa

Some cages aren’t built by others.
They’re built by us.

The cage of overfunctioning.
The cage of old identities that no longer fit.
The cage of fear, perfectionism, or waiting for the “right” time.

And one day you look up and realize…
I made this cage.
I stayed too long in spaces I’d outgrown.
I carried labels I didn’t have to keep.
I dimmed my own light.

But transformation rarely looks like glory in the moment.
It’s quiet. Tender. Sacred.

The butterfly reminds us that even when it feels like you’re enclosed, the sacred is not waiting on the other side of the storm—it’s happening right here, it’s the Beauty in the Midst of it all.

If you built the cage, you hold the key.
And that’s why I wrote
The Sacred Journey.

Because sacred self-care isn’t selfish—it’s how we create space to breathe, reflect, and choose differently. It’s how we unclench the grip of old stories and step into a freer, softer, more aligned version of ourselves.

You were never meant to live confined by who you used to be.
And the choice to move differently? It doesn’t just set you free. It leaves a better path for the ones coming after you.

Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s sacred™.

In All Your Getting, Get Understanding

Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

Sacred self-care is not about escapism or indulging the flesh. It’s about understanding what truly nourishes your soul and prepares your spirit to stand in uncertain times. Without that understanding, self-care can feel counterintuitive or even superficial—another task on the list rather than a spiritual alignment.

But when you seek understanding, you begin to:
💜 Discern what is of God versus what is simply noise, urgency, or distraction.

💜 See beyond political theatrics to the deeper prophetic movements shaping this moment in history.

💜 Anchor yourself in peace rather than fear, frenzy, or division.

💜 Care for your body and soul in ways that build strength and spiritual readiness.

In a world where the lines between politics and prophecy can blur, understanding becomes your safeguard. It quiets reactionary living and teaches you to respond with clarity, wisdom, and grace.

So today, pause and ask:
“Lord, give me understanding. Help me to see with spiritual eyes. Teach me to prepare and respond not from fear or the flesh, but from Your wisdom, Your Spirit, and Your peace.”

This is why we say, Self-care isn’t selfish, it’s sacred.™ It’s not about indulgence—it’s about alignment. It’s about caring for the temple of your mind, body, and spirit so you can remain ready, discerning, and anchored in Him. 🕊️

New Release Coming Soon

It’s Not Just for Women Over 50

When I first shared early previews of The Sacred Journey, I thought the message would stay close to the hearts of women over 50.

But during quiet conversations with a few beta readers (early readers who give feedback before a book is released), something unexpected unfolded…

A younger woman said,
“I’m not even close to 50, but this made me slow down and soften something in me I didn’t know had hardened.”

A man who read a few pages for his mom admitted,
“I didn’t expect it, but some of this spoke to me, too.”

A wellness coach reflected,
“Sacred self-care doesn’t have an age. Every woman I know could breathe easier with this reminder.”

Yes, this book is rooted in the wisdom of midlife womanhood.
But it’s also about humanness—about pausing long enough to care for the soul.

Sacredness has no age limit.
Self-care has no expiration date.

Even in the previews, it’s clear this journey belongs to more than one generation.

(Beta readers are a small circle of trusted voices who get an early glimpse before the world does.)

I’m thrilled to announce my upcoming book, The Sacred Journey: Self-Care Strategies for Women Over 50.

The Sacred Journey isn’t just a book. It’s a homecoming.

It’s for the woman who’s poured into everyone else for decades—and now wonders:
What does it look like to pour back into myself… without guilt, without apology, and without waiting any longer?

When our beta readers first held this book, they cried.
Not because it was sad—
but because it saw them.

“I had to put it down and come back to it. It was that tender and that powerful.”
“I felt like someone finally gave me permission to rest and be whole.”

This is not a book about doing more.
It’s about becoming more of who you truly are.

You are not too late.
You are not too much.
You are still sacred.

Because self-care isn’t selfish—it’s sacred™.

Discernment Is Not Optional. It’s Protection.

📯 “Discernment is your defense.”

At this stage of my life—retired from government work, but still leading in my home, my business, and my community—I’m coming to realize something sacred:

Discernment isn’t just a spiritual gift. It’s a survival skill.

Especially for women.

In a world full of noise, urgency, and “shoulds,” discernment is what allows us to pause. To see clearly. To protect our peace and choose from alignment, not just obligation.

It’s how we avoid burnout masked as busyness.
How we navigate caregiving without losing ourselves.
How we lead—whether in boardrooms or family rooms—without compromising our spirit.

This season is showing me:
I may not carry a formal title anymore, but I still carry authority.
And with that comes a responsibility to move with clarity, not just movement.

💜 So if you’ve been feeling the pressure to say yes, to act quickly, to respond fast—
remember: Discernment is your defense.

Not just for crisis.
But for calling.
For conversations.
For choosing what’s yours to carry—and what’s not.

Self-care isn’t selfish, it’s sacred.™
And so is trusting your inner knowing—especially when it contradicts the crowd.
