There’s a side of motherhood we don’t talk about enough.

Not the kind of anger that means you don’t love your kids. The kind that comes from being needed all day, carrying the mental load, being touched, talked to, interrupted, and pulled in a million different directions until you finally have nothing left in the tank.

And then sometimes you feel guilty for even feeling angry.

But here’s the thing: we can love our children more than anything in this world and still feel completely overwhelmed by motherhood.

Those two feelings can coexist.

You can be grateful and exhausted.
You can adore them and need space.
You can be the mom who would do absolutely anything for them and still desperately need five minutes where nobody says “Mom.”

None of that makes you a bad mom. It makes you human. 🤍

Apparently I’m responsible for keeping people alive, fed, clean, on schedule and somewhat emotionally stable…

A little breakfast + packing lunches two birds with one stone moment this morning 😂🙌🏼

The kids had Flourish protein pancakes for breakfast, and I packed some in their lunches too because honestly… why make my life harder? 😂 Mom win? I’d say so. 😂

I made the chocolate and birthday cake flavours and they actually taste SO good. I also love that they’re sugar free and packed with protein to help keep the kiddos full a little longer 🙌🏼

You can pack them as is, add some fruit, or even make muffins with them which I definitely need to try next 👀

Four kids later and I can confidently say… I still have absolutely no idea what I’m doing half the time 😂

I thought by baby number four I’d have motherhood completely figured out. Instead, I’ve just gotten really good at multitasking, reheating my coffee and pretending I have a plan. 🤷🏻‍♀️☕️
