Finding my way back to running at 39 has meant more to me than just running. It’s never been about the distance or pace for me. It’s always been about the commitment to myself & pushing my own limits, while dedicating time with Jesus through worship music, movement & praise. This has become my church. Where I can disconnect from the world & truly connect with him. Where my hands rise up freely as I give him all my praises 🙌🏽

So this is a thank you to running for providing me a place of devotion & God for giving me the power/ability. “You are worthy of it all. I’ll never waste what’s spent on you”🙏🏽

They say God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. This weekend T1D tested that. We’ve went 5years straight living and fighting this relentless disease and this weekend it rocked us. Dj fought yet again with everything in him as he went into DKA. A cruel reminder of the ruthlessness of T1D. One minute we’re thumbs up in the air and the next is a complete nightmare. To watch what happens to his body without insulin is the most terrifying reminder of what keeps him alive😖 Living this experience again is an awakening like no other. This post is not for pity but for awareness of the severity of T1D. To those who think “it’s not that serious” I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. And to the saying, “Type 1 diabetics can still do all the things”, YES THEY SURE CAN!!💪🏽 but there are so many factors they must think about and plan for before, while and after doing all the things they want and can do! This one is for all the T1 warriors and caregivers/parents. We see you and we salute you!! And to our sweet anointed child of God, you are truly amazing and we are so grateful for you and your empowering faith & strength🙏🏽 Thank you Jesus for all the kind & caring hands that surrounded him from SVMH, Stanford Paramedics and Lucile Packard Children’s ICU. Thank you for all the prayers shared. We are so grateful to be back home with our warrior💙

A day at the @montereybayaquarium 🦦

This years field trip to the aquarium was a memorable one having grandma as a chaperone🥰

The only thing we couldn’t check off our list was the sunfish, but we did get a 📸 of 🦇🐧!
