The saddest but happiest day of my life… 💔
Losing my dad is a pain I hate carrying. I hate that I’ve had to go through so many losses, and what was supposed to be a day of celebrating also became a day of mourning.
A day he was supposed to be there cheering and shouting as I walked across the stage became a day I stood crying at his coffin. 💔 I never imagined my biggest accomplishment would also be one of my biggest heartbreaks. I wish you could’ve been there, Dad. I hope you know I did it for you and mommy. ❤️‍🩹

Cheers to 30! 🥂

My 20s were full of heartbreak, pain, and loss. There were a lot of moments I never thought I’ll have to face, but somehow I made it through. I’ll always be proud that I graduated, even though it took me some time. As I turn 30 today, I’m choosing to focus on healing, happiness, and the life ahead of me. Grief will always be with me, but it won’t stop me from living.

Life hasn’t always been fair, but I’m thankful to be here and ready for this new chapter.

I love you, Mom and Dad thank you both for giving me life. I’m forever grateful for you!! I’ll always tell my future kids about you and keep your memory alive in my heart. ❤️

The day I lay my dad to rest is the same day I walk for my graduation. I’m grieving one of the biggest losses of my life while trying to celebrate one of the biggest milestones, and it doesn’t feel fair. You were supposed to be here. You told me you were proud of me. You said you’ll be there.

I keep asking myself why you were taken so soon. I cried until I couldn’t cry anymore. I even showed up to work just to keep my mind from drowning in everything I’m feeling. I’m trying so hard not to lose myself the way I did after losing my mom.

I’m hurt. I’m broken. I’m angry. I keep screaming to God asking why He took you too. Why does everything keep happening to my family? You were the only parent I had left. As I make the last memories of you, I can’t help but cry even more. No one tells you how hard it is to make a video for your dad’s funeral watching your whole life with him play back in pictures while your heart breaks all over again, knowing we won’t be making any new memories together.

I don’t really know how to express this pain except through writing. I love you deeply and I wish I could hug you one more time. If I knew that last hug would be the last, I would’ve held onto you so much longer.
