Happy National Sylvia Day! Shoutout to me and all the Sylvia's out there!

I discovered this holiday based on my name in 2023. Today, I found out that Stevie Wonder wrote a song called, "Sylvia." "Built with Bricks" is a poem that I wrote in 2017 on my birthday with the letters of my first and middle name, "Sylvia Larane."

Built with Bricks

She lasted to behold age forty-six.
Young-looking, she persists pretty in pics.
Laugh but spurn counting her with shallow cliques.
Veritable—she built her house with bricks.
Impelled when she heeded godly saying,
Anchored to a rock, she stood obeying.

Life reeled when “wolves blew,” leaving her swaying.
Assured steadiness, she weathered praying.
Rain pounded her framework with fierce impact.
Ardent faith shielded her�—kept her intact.
Nuances of rare worth fail to subtract.
Equity, she continues to attract.
