An afternoon dedicated to good skin, good company, and a little Dermlounge happy hour fun. 🤍

POV: you came in for your tox/filler appointment and left with a little ✨gift with purchase✨ 😂

Bruising is one of those things we do EVERYTHING in our power to avoid… but sometimes your face simply says, “surprise!” 🫠

There are SO many tiny blood vessels running through the face, and they don’t exactly come with a map telling us where they are. As injectors, we’re navigating an incredibly vascular, three-dimensional landscape every time we place a needle. Knowing facial anatomy, understanding vascular pathways, choosing the right needle/cannula, injection depth, technique and pressure all matter when it comes to minimizing bruising.

But even with the best technique? Sometimes we hit a tiny vessel. It happens. And it does NOT mean your injector did something wrong. ❤️

In my treatment room, I call it a bruise = gift with purchase 😂

Because while the bruise itself is definitely not the gift anyone ordered, the inflammatory response involved in healing is actually part of the body’s natural repair process and can contribute to collagen remodeling.

So if you bruise easily, PLEASE don’t panic. We’ll do everything we can to keep you bruise-free… but if your face decides to throw one in the bag, we’ll call it complimentary. 😂

And yes, I will still apologize profusely because I know you have somewhere to be. 😘
