~ Adrift

“Before city banks stirring
The firm-footed are swept clear
By tireless streams, suffering
As fallen leaves
Shy missing ever-flowing splendours
Sly pitched above the surface
Of what we call truth, life, God,
And so on and so forth”

~ Sinclair

~ Scattered Seeds

“Gently it blows those flowers picked
Scattering seeds I’ve known
From past harvests missed
And should it be that my soul forgets
With cupped hands will it find me
Baring mine all in its midst.”

~ Hold Steady

“Stilled by journeys ever inward,
It is revealed not only atop summits peaked
but in an ephemerality the mind straddles
and holds, though in vain, to keep.”

~ In parting

“As the sun come morn,
So too the moon’s fullness we share.
And though we must soon part,
We dare not proclaim an eternity”
