🌸Faking it Next Door is now on KU

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hey all. I come with an incredibly sad update regarding NestFest. I've had to cancel my appearance, and am so immensely disappointed.

As to the why... my son is a senior in high school. His last Varsity football game falls on the same Friday night as the signing. After the schedule was released, and I realized what it meant, I spent more than a little time debating with myself (mom hat VS. author hat) and trying to find a work-around (I even considered flying in to set up and signing for a few hours Friday, then jetting back for the game, and rushing to catch a redeye before Saturday morning doors opened, but travel to the East Coast from AZ doesn't exactly make that feasible or cost effective). In the end, I couldn't come up with a viable option to make both happen, so I had to pick one. As you can guess, my son won - hands down. I love all of you, but love my kid a smidge more ;)

Hopefully you understand why I made the decision I made. I truly hope each and every one of you live your best Omega life that weekend and have so much fun with all of the incredible authors and attendees. I will be sitting back here in AZ with the biggest case of FOMO ever.

Much love and shenanigans

So this is my story—a girl with three knights in slightly grass-stained armor. What can I say? Fake it ‘til you make it…or fall in love trying, I guess. by @sinclairkellyauthor

“You think you know me? What I’ve been through, pretty boy?” Her hand raises, elegant fingers trailing down the buttons of my shirt. “Think you can give me something those older, more mature, more experienced men can’t?”

“I know we can. Wanna know how I can be sure of that, hotshot?”

She licks her pouty bottom lip, leaning in just a little until we're a mere breath apart. “Mmhmm. Why don’t you tell me so I can point out just how wrong you are?”

My free hand lands on her hip, and I watch with satisfaction as her pupils dilate. “Because your scent don't lie.” Trailing my nose against her throat, I take in the tart apples with cinnamon sweetened by a heavy dose of brown sugar. “You didn’t perfume like this for them last night, but you did for me.”
