GIRLS IN FILM South Africa x Sinema Films presents: Milisuthando An exclusive one-night screening of Milisuthando, the inimitable and introspective masterwork by Milisuthando Bongela. For our final event of the year, we’ve partnered with the incredible @sinemaafrica to bring you this home-grown, transportive festival-circuit darling. Milisuthando is a poetic exploration of South Africa’s past, present, and future — tracing interwoven themes of love, intimacy, race, and belonging. The screening will be followed by a salon-style conversation led by journalist Zanele Mji (@zanelemji) and filmmaker + Girls In Film SA co-founder Gale Maimane (@galerekwemaimane). Together, in community, we’ll unpack the film and reflect on its poignant exposition of contemporary Black life and Model C legacies in post-apartheid South Africa. We cannot wait to gather, unfurl, and learn together through the intricately woven documentary Milisuthando. 📅 Thursday, 27 November 2025 🕖 18:30–22:30 📍 Mamakashaka & Friends 🎟️ R120 (limited seats!) 🔗 Book now via link in bio Come for the film. Stay for the collective. #GirlsInFilmCLUB #SinemaAfrica #AfricanCinema by @sinemaafrica
